Today marks the 11th annual release of Foothills Bourbon Barrel Aged Sexual Chocolate. This is the beer that expanded YHC’s beer horizons and got me enjoying Stouts, Porters, Ales, and so many other great tasting beers. Its the 2nd time YHC has used this theme, and am going to make it a tradition at the Mothership for years to come!

• YHC took us out giving thanks and lifting up folks in Florida and those still reeling from Harvey.

NMM

• Strong work today men, YHC wants thus Beatdown to be memorable, hopefully that happened today.
  • 2.5 miles, 100 burpees, plenty of other reps and 6-7 trips up Education Hill and (up to the first stop sign of) The Intimidator
• #Kotters to Octomom, a Winston native who moved to Connecticut and was in town for the weekend! Nice dude, and I got a kick of how he got his name (makes a ton of noise in the gym like he’s giving birth to 8 kids).
• Spicoli showed up on Spicoli time, and led the PAX most of the time after he arrived!
• Zoolander showed up on Zoolander time, which is about 15 minutes later than Sicily time… #Kotters were due, and yes he is still a beast!
• Nice to chat with Lambchop, who shares a mutual friend with YHC (still working on that HC)!
• Root Canal is always the honest man, opting for 5 burpees at the end believing he skipped a few earlier.
• Thistle and Mutton were pushing the pace up the Intimidator, you got my #Respect men!
• I’ve seen Schneider show much improvement with his running over the past few weeks, and it was on fill display today!
• Sour Mash kept the bottle cap from our first Sexual Chocolate themed Beatdown back in January. Today he added a Sticker to his collection, which the bartender at the Trading Room hooked me up with Friday night. YHC tried for an EH, but he had to work this morning.
• 4 PAX made it out for #2ndF at the Brewpub after, and the crowd was bit bad at all! We got a table and enjoyed great conversation, great food, and great beer! Hope more PAX venture out next time!
