Speed Dating at Flatline

QIC: Bueller?

Date: 11/28/2017

PAX: Zuckerberg, Root Canal, Hedwig, Pita, Thistle, TPS, LiteBrite, Stats, VanGogh, Shingles, Glazer, Zima, Pebbles (fka Brian Shrieve)

YHC had not had the pleasure of attending Flatline thus far and was actually quite content with that decision (#ingoranceisbliss). However, as a good site Q does, Hedwig conscripted me into service and directed me to go forth and #Lead. So here we are.

Having not been a Flatline regular, I felt it necessary to acquaint myself with the PAX. And the M says that the best way to so that is with #icebreakers. it works well with “mom’s groups” and preschoolers, so I figured I’d give it a try. What resulted sounded fun on paper and felt like what I imagine speed dating to feel like. Awkward, energy draining, and maybe a little dizzying.

Here’s how it went down.

No WARMORAMA!

5 x Burpees OYO

Power skip to parking garage

Pick a partner and Leap Frog to next level .. 5 pullups at the landings (partner 1 on south, partner 2 on north)

Pick a different partner and Buddy Rush to next level .. 5 pullups at the landings (partner 1 on south, partner 2 on north)

Buddy Carry 1 to next level .. 5 pullups and partner Dirkins at the landings

Bear crawl down the stairs to bottom level (feet first? not if you’re a man)

Group run to nearby field on Third St.

Conduct a circuit of an exercise up the grassy hill, run around to the base, and then line up in order of _.

Mode of maneuver (in order of appearance): Low Crawl / Barrel Roll (#crowdpleaser) / Bear Crawl / Crab Walk / Duck Walk

Line up at the sidewalk in order of: TIME AT F3 / NUMBER OF SIBLINGS / TIME MARRIED / NUMBER OF COUNTRIES VISITED/ TIME AT CURRENT JOB)

Run home! But don’t stop!

Merkins x 15 IC

LBC x 15 IC

Okay, now you can stop!

ANNOUNCEMENTS: F3 Holiday Party is scheduled for 16 DEC 2017 at the Brookberry Farm clubhouse. Probably a 6pm start.

Good luck to the men interviewing for ED positions at the hospital.

Huge welcome to Pebbles (fka Brian Shrieve (sp?)). As a former ranger he hopefully chuckled at our buddy rushes and low crawls. #cobains.

NMM: it was fascinating to learn new things about the PAX. Some was expected, others not so much.

Most surprising is that we have a well traveled bunch of guys. And that LiteBrite’s family puts the brady bunch to shame.

The PAX asked multiple times if the plan looked good on paper the night before? It honestly did. I don’t know what happened.

It was a pleasure this morning to be with you gentlemen. Thank you.

Fine work Buehler! The question remains “how many minutes did the PAX hate the Q for his selection of the one piece of wet grass in all of downtown to roll around and full body crawl up. “. -AYE!

Buehler – you certainly kept us moving in all sorts of ways. Good times rolling around on Winston’s favorite downtown dog/water park. Please come back this winter when it is raining. Appreciate the leadership – honestly. Stories come from the misery.

Thanks for the fun times, Bueller… PAX usually post at this lush, green AO for the wet grass! Haha, at least all PAX are ready for a bath write crawl at an OCR now.

I don’t think any of us would have known you’d never been to the AO before, but we’d love to have you back again!
