The Name Game at OG’s
QIC: Plunger
Date: 11/10/17
PAX: Resistor, Cherio, Burlap, Juice Box, Glazer, Sac, Manscape (WD), Homebody, Rainman, Interference, Beverly, Chomper, Razzi, Chisel, Swiss Miss, Wiki, Peacemaker, Walter White(WB), Red Eye, Total Recall, Bout Time, Boo Boo
22 OGs including 6 tractors decided to assault Thurman and make our way along Arbor with a quick jaunt through Graylyn back down Arbor and home. It is a beautiful thing when everyone gets the route right but the Q and a few. Cobains for lack of the street sign on Georgia Ave. Rumor has it all of the PAX were able to sniff the barn and find their way home.
It was a chilly morning but we had a gorgeous starlit sky. The PAX were exceptionally fast this morning and amazingly Walter White ran with Interference and YHC. We learned he is pacing the 3 hour marathoners tomorrow in Charlotte so why not come out for an OGs run at conversational pace.
The PAX was introduced to the “name game” at the COT, which could be something we try. Essentially, Burlap and YHC participated in the Mega in Greensboro a couple of weeks ago and some regions end in the COT have the PAX shout out the name after it is given, which helps the other PAX learn the names of new guys or guys they don’t know. Of course, respect is still offered when the PAX reaches that magic age of 50.
Everyone was gracious today and participated in the slight change of formality, which is always good.
Announcements: F3 is helping with the Heart Walk tomorrow parking cars. It will be extremely cold so show up at 6:25 for the mini beat down but makes ure you pack warm dry clothes, including layers and clothes, to be ready to park from 7 am – 9 am. Pony Express is leading this effort and needs our help. Please show up.
For the rest of you who have hard stops and can’t commit to the parking duty, please show up for the mini convergence of all other AOs at Purgatory. Six Degrees is looking for a Q for that convergence.
Prayer requests: prayers for all of our marathoners who will be out and about in the cold weather tomorrow and celebrations and pauses in honor of our veterans as we observe Veterans Day today and it arrives tomorrow.
YHC took the PAX out partitioning for courage and strength for us to be the leaders He would want us to be in our families and communities.

Red Eye
Thurmond’s always a bear, but YHC enjoyed the time spent primarily with ‘Bout Time, JB, and Glazer (strong push to the finish, G!). Especially appreciated that they remembered their reflective gear when I managed to forget mine while making the bonehead move to wear pretty much all black.
