Block Burps are Bad and You Should Feel Bad

A strong group of pax showed up for the best non-running workout in town. At 530 we got to it:

Warm-O-Rama

  • The always reliable Side Straddle Hop
  • The always debated speed of the Abe Vagoda
  • The amusingly named Imperial Walker
  • The always popular Merkin.

The Thang

Slow mosey to the blocks for…Block Burps.

After some fumbled explanation, expressed concerns and general MC we did Block Burps:

  • Pax passed a block around a circle. When you get the block, do 5 curls, pass it on and start doing burpees.
  • Once the block went around we reversed and Al Gore till it was all over.
  • No one liked it.

Now on to some normal block work…

  • Skull Crusher 15 IC
  • Bent over rows 15 IC

Slow mosey to the basketball court for….

DORA 1-2-3

  • 100 Merkins (partner Apollo Creeds)
  • 200 LBCs (partner lunge walks)
  • 300 Squats (partner duck walks)

Do that last stop with legĀ  lifts and dips at the benches? Nah, let’s slow mosey back to the parking lot for some extended Merry Mary.

We welcomed Maurice Elliot. He works with Harden’s M, so she gets the EH credit. Good work. We arrived at Joker after the 1969 Steve Miller classic jam ‘The Joker.” Some may call him Maurice, Some people call him the space cowboy, some call him the gangster of love, we call him Joker. Welcome!
