@RoadApple asked YHC to Q shortly after hearing I was no longer site Q at #ImpossibleSituation, I was both honoured and Happy to oblige. YHC got some inspiration from a round of drinking games, where the players have to perform a Waterfall, where everyone chugs there beer until the person in front of them was finished. Thinking it might be a good way to max out some reps for only a few exercises, I used the DP crew as my guinea pigs!

The Thang

  • Waterfall
    1. PAX take turns running to destination and back.
    2. Non-running PAX perform called exercise OYO
    3. If failure is reached, perform 15 Arm Swirly Things, and resume exercise
    4. Exercise to be performed until all PAX have run

    2. Across the street / X-Jacks / around upper parking lot (.25mi)
    3. Lot trail entrance / Squats / around start parking lot (.2mi)
    4. Midway to shelter / burpees / to sign (.1mi)
    5. From picnic shelter / Dips / out parking lot right on sidewalk, right back onto trail (.2mi)
    6. From picnic shelter / Left Leg Step-ups / around parking lot (.1mi)
    7. From picnic shelter / Right Leg Step-ups / around parking lot (.1mi)
    8. From road behind horse barn / Merkins / back to bench (.2mi)
    9. On trail at bench / Irkins / back to dog poo bin (.2 mi)
    10. On trail at gravel gate / lunges / back to post (.2 mi)
    11. At Campground Rd. Gate / LBC,Freddy Merc, Penguin x 15 IC / back to asphalt gate (.4mi)
  • Mosey back to start!
  • Fin!

  • TClaps to @RoadApple who joined me on the required Break 20 10 miler this morning before DP! Great dude and great company!
  • TClaps to Quiver and Fingers, who tolerated this experiment from YHC, we covered just over 3 miles today, and definitely out in a ton of reps (counted 145 Merkins).
  • Learned a good bit about how $Quiver got his name, volunteering to lead the Order of the Arrow! Also that he does triathlons, swims on Tuesdays and tried a cycling class on Wednesday.
  • Turns out @Zima made a brief appearance before the Beatdown for EC, but did not have adequate gear and nearly froze to death. Sorry you missed it!
  • @RoadApple also had to take off due to a sore knee. Wise move, live to run another day soon, but still missed!
  • Enjoyed the company of @Fingers (The new site Q) during today’s Beatdown, lots of 2ndF due to the format today.
  • We both have a desire to boost attendance at this grand AO. Make it happen men!

    Thanks for leading, @VanGogh! Your unrelenting positivity is contagious! This was a good format for #DawgPound. Lots of reps = growth! (although I seem to be growing in only one direction these days – out!)

    Looks like a wonderfully awful workout VG. Would’ve enjoyed suffering through it, but the pre-run was pretty awesome too. Thanks for being a HIM!
