The #GrimReaper celebrates 2 years

Birthdays and/or anniversaries are always fun to celebrate, which is what we did this morning as #Bells&Whistles marked two years being in existence. When scrambling around for ideas to mark this fine day, YHC decided to invite his good friend the #GrimReaper. Turns out the majority of the PAX had not met my friend in workouts past, so they had that going for them. Which was nice.

We started with a mosey around the front loop, and then executed the obligatory Warmorama exercises including, but not limited to, SSHs, Mountain Climbers, IWs, Merkins, Seal Claps, and Whirly’s with a clap.

CoT: Thanking Him for all of the blessings, as well as challenges and obstacles He puts in front of us as they help to strengthen us. Asking to always remember that when one door closes, we see another door opening for us to enter.

Announcements:  1st Presbyterian Church needs overnight volunteers throughout the month of March. @Closer (Greg Schutt) is the man to see in regards to signing up.

@Burns got married over the weekend and is looking forward to a honeymoon this summer – Congrats!

NMM:

  • When announcing that I had invited the #GrimReaper, there was a collective moaning of sorts. Yet, not many had met #GR before. Guess his reputation precedes him.
  • @Tuco was quick to make the observation that the number of reps per exercise was excessive. To which I had to explain that is #GR’s M.O. – the taking of souls is done with high numbers.
  • The music selection seemed to be a big hit. I found a new station on Pandora – Classic Rock Power Workout. At one point, @Landshark took a quick walk down memory lane regarding his first “real” concert, which was Foreigner at the Orange Bowl in Miami. The smile on his face while reliving the memory told me it was a good time, indeed.
  • Apparently @BAM got “Flatlined” yesterday, which made for a rough beginning this AM. But in typical @BAM fashion, he muscled through and got after it.
  • @Interference has not confirmed it yet, but in his steadfast training to #Breaksomething, he thinks he may have a stress fracture. T-claps to #Doingsomething vs. #Doingnothing this AM. And prayers for a quick recovery of whatever it is that is ailing him.
  • T-claps to @Burns, who just so happens to be a teacher at Reagan and possesses the coveted key for entrance into our Wednesday AO. #NoMoreWalking

    Apparently “muscled through and got after it” is the nice way of saying “was so slow he got lapped by his partners Goofy and TR but was too tired to simply walk away so he at least was still there when we did COT”
    Pretty sure this counts as a legit workout! Yikes.

    YHC has somehow escaped Grim Reaper to this point, and I consider myself very fortunate. Awesome to hear about Burns. Those Farmer carries blow. Good work, IF, glad you are still getting after it.
