Oh, what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day. #DashPaxRuckers #FNG @Burlap joined old pros D-Day, Undertow and YHC on a jaunt through springtime azaleas and dogwoods in Old and New Sherwood this morning. We launched from Peace Haven Baptist once we figured out there was only one entrance to the parking lot there through the portico chere. Birds were chirping, traffic was light, and the rain held off.
Conversation ranged from sprinkling vs. dunking baptism, @Mongoose’s approval or lack thereof of the #Purgatory workout plan from yesterday, @Ramses’ membership in the Messiah Moravian running club, @Toto’s F3 status, neurology, the movie “Awakenings”, trespassing on Milhaven Lake Drive, Map My Run, springtime, cancer sucks, @RootCanal’s drive from NC to ATX to NY to rescue a dog, Halloween in Glen Ridge, and many other fascinating topics.
We were missing some of our regulars this morning because of travel or early church commitments. And they were missed. It was great to have @Burlap out for his maiden voyage. D-Day got to be the #WarBaby for the first time ever. The rest of us were #Respects. See you at the next Ruck.

Burlap
Although @Starfish and I were never farther than 10 feet apart, I was able to get in about one quarter mile more per MMR. If you want to borrow my phone for a personal best pace, just let me know.
My first ruck and I expect to be back. Good steady, long workout with lots of second F. Thanks to the three guys and especially @Starfish for listening to me.

Good stuff and sorry to miss! Sounds like y’all didn’t cover many topics this time. Oh well, maybe chattier next time.
Awakenings? The old robin Williams movie? That’s a classic.
Undertow
Great to have Burlap out today, pushing the pace on a very solid route!

Beautiful morning ruck, at a hard pace, good people. Thanks to Undertow for listening and talking, it made the time go by.
It was interesting being the WB I did not think that was ever going to happen.
And to think I almost decided to sleep in.
