Figure 8 makes Speed Trap more friendly

7 Pax showed up for a relatively flat, figure 8 style Speed Trap launching from Knollwood Baptist Church, with a work zone on Fairfax, Windsor, Lynn, Greenwich and Canterbury roads.  I won’t bore you with the details, but we went easy for a mile, fast for a mile, then faster, then back to fast, then back to easy.  No time left at the end for any silly non-running exercises.  Got back to the start about 1 min late (Q fail).

Without the flesh anchors of Walter White (absent) and Beverly (absent, but Qing The Estate), we were able to go really fast today.  We really pushed those 10K and 5K paces and didn’t have to worry about circling back for those guys.

The 2 semi-regular Speed Trap attendees that were targeted for attendance today with the launch point and workout design did post.  And put in some serious work.

I tried to kill The Vig on the last fast mile.  He had pushed the first two fast ones, and wanted to do his “real” 10K pace for the third, but I was having none of that.  He powered through like a champ though.

Winklevoss has decided that tank tops aren’t his thing and basically goes Chippendale for every run now.

Balco was the only one wearing sleeves

Shmedfest is August 25th at the Fairgrounds.  See Plunger for details.  Every Tuesday in August, Wise Man is donating some profits to the event, which raises money for Crisis Control Ministries.  Goal is $50K total raised.  Set aside any $$$ you can for this cause.  Every $1 helps reach the goal.
