YHC’s Q almost didn’t happen this morning . . . barely woke up to the alarm, and in thinking about it, I don’t think I’ve really woken up today.  Groggy.  Mongoose speculated that YHC might have had a few at the kids’ swim meet last night.  Not the case (unfortunately) as being a time keeper is a serious responsibility.  Anyway, fatigue might’ve played out a bit in some of my cadence calling.  YHC knows that my cadence is rather meager relative to what Sgt. Schultz was calling up the road at BnW . . . but I’m going to go out on a limb that it was probably better than Snappy’s at his VQ.  The two of you who are actually reading this aren’t here for reflections on cadence.  You want to know what went down at The Premier Wednesday Workout™.

Warm-o-Rama

Let’s see.  SSH, Hillbillies, Abe Vigoda, Whirly’s got VD, mountain climbers.

Mosey to the rock pile.

Grab a small rock and a medium-ish rock

Curls for the Girls with small rock, x20 IC
Copperhead goblet squats with small rock, x10 IC
Curls for the Girls with medium rock, x20 IC
Copperhead goblet squats with medium rock, x10 IC

Repeato the reps/sets with overhead presses and skull crushers.

Mosey down Meadowlark (Prospector evidently snuck by us driving to a “meeting”), down the bus entrance and into Jamison Park.  Head to the pavilion.

At the pavilion, grab some bench for 15 dips followed by 10 right leg and 10 left leg step ups, then 15 irkins followed by the same step ups, then bench plank for 45 seconds followed by same step ups.

Pax then counted off into three groups and moseyed up to Jamison’s main parking lot.  We took a lap around the parking lot so YHC could point out where each group would start the next routine.  Just trying to spread out the throng.

Using the parking lot spaces, each group did DB drills through a section.  Upon finishing the section, they did a prescribed exercise, then did DB drills through the next section and did prescribed exercise again but more times, then ran the third section and did the prescribed exercise again even more times.

Exercises were burpees (5, 10, 15 reps), mountain climbers (10, 20, 30), and merkins (10, 20, 30).  Time was getting short, so we headed back to start for some Mary.

Mary

LBCs, mutton crunch R/L, penguin crunch, low flutter, and Raggedy Anns.

FIN!

COT

Burlap took us out in fine fashion.

Announcements

Drip has his VQ at Urban Assault on Friday.  Splash has TRQ tomorrow.  Spamalot is going to try to not injure his 82-year-young stepfather at Purgatory on Saturday.

Splash’s fundraising effort for LLS wraps up tomorrow and he’s raised over $43,000. #HIM

Schmedfest is right around the corner on August 25th and Plunger is hoping that Splash left some money in your wallet for that.

FiA is putting together a Dash night on 6/16.  $8/pp and all welcome – contact Balco.  He’ll watch your kids.

Plunger volunteered to Q Friday’s Lunchbunch.  Watch the twitterverse.

NMM

Mongoose noted that Burlap was going retro with his Avia shirt today.

Either the pax had more trouble than usual counting off into three groups or no one was eager to run around Jamison with Splash and Spamalot.

Good to see 1040EZ out today.

Might have been mumblechatter thrown my way but YHC was napping with my eyes open.

Thanks for the opportunity, Zima.

SYITG,

So if you divide 13 by 3 you get 2. Or something like that.
