YHC made a few turns and eventually figured out how to get to this previously unknown AO. YHC has driven by TRQ a million times, but has never set foot on the grounds. On the second try, YHC found the right parking lot and before we knew it, 5:30 had arrived!

Mosey to rock pile behind school

Today starts the World Cup and while YHC isn’t a huge soccer fan, he found out at a HDHH that many of the PAX are passionate about this year’s event. Despite the non-American presence, it seems that we should celebrate what many others consider the greatest sport in the world…many others say that anyways. YHC decided that since many of our Spanish speaking brothers and sisters refer to this as the Copa do Mundo, we’d spell out not only World Cup, but Copa do Mundo as well!

Grab a medium sized rock and it’ll become your friend for the rest of the workout.

Copa do Mundo

Lido deck? Where is that? Oh that light over there? Let’s do it!

One lap jog – we counted our adventurous mosey from the rock pile to the lido deck as a “lap”

Nolan Ryan x10 each side OYO
Dips x10 IC
Outlaw (big “O”) while holding rock x10 each side

Louganis x15 OYO – Hold rock overhead at full arm extension while doing WWII
Dolly x10 IC holding block

Chilcutt Plank (1 minute)
Upright Row w/ block x15 IC
Plank Jacks no block x20 OYO

I didn’t have the counts written down so counts are approximate…might have been more or less, YHC was whipped at this point.

Mosey to rock pile to return block, then mosey to parking lot for Mary.

Announcements/Prayer Requests
Shmedfest – August 25th, see Plunger for details

Six Mil is becoming a Dad! Pray for his fiancé as she is due in 13 days, but expecting that the baby will come sooner. Six Mil hasn’t thought about the “no sleep” portion of things so the PAX was quick to remind him to value his sleep now.

Anyone that is struggling with addiction, a PAX’s family member is currently struggling at this time.

YHC found that TRQ was somewhat of “Parliament North” and to minimize the running as much as possible. Other than a trip to the rock pile and lido deck and back, the running was kept in check. I think we were around a mile total in the workout. YHC really enjoys getting to work out with and know PAX from other parts of the greater W-S area. It was a pleasure meeting Ziggy Stardust, Undertow, and Pinto for the first time.

When Zima attends a workout, YHC immediately knows the standard must be raised to a near unbearable level for myself, just so it pushes Zima a little bit. He said that YHC succeeded, probably just being nice…

Palin tried to impress Zima with the size of his rock, not sure if Zima was impressed though.

Good to see Bulldog back after it again this week now that school is out.

Unlike YHC, Wobegon was a great site Q who actually showed up to the VQ/first post to help YHC out. He was not so lucky at VI. Thank you for your help, sir!

YHC took us out.

Wobegon, I hand you back the keys and thank you for the opportunity.

Great Q, Sassy. This beatdown was almost as unpleasant as watching soccer. But seriously, folks….Good group, some new faces and regulars. Come back anytime.
