Nine well tempered pax converged on Bailey Park for this week’s installment of Urban Assault. YHC hasn’t posted at UA for quite some time since it always feels like I’m almost driving to Guilford County from WestFoCo. The obvious reality is that it’s not that bad. OGs will still probably win most Fridays, but Bailey Park is a great AO . . . and rather more picturesque than the 1st Presbyterian parking lot. Anyway, today’s plan was very (very very) loosely inspired by a simple question from my 6 y.o. 2.0, “What’s a block?” in reference to streets/city blocks. A reminder of how much there is to learn in this world.

So, blocks. We moseyed up 4th towards downtown, stopping at the corner of every other block or so to do the prescribed exercises.
At Church: burpees 15x, 30 SSHs
At Liberty: WWIIs 40x, 30 SSHs
At Cherry: hand release merkins 25x, 30 SSHs
At Spruce: squat jumps 30x, 30 SSHs
At parking deck by Spring: low flutters 40x, 30 SSHs
We then turned up Spring to 5th for the return trip . . .
At Spring/Bibbs: Carolina dry docks 25x, 30 Jack Reachers
At Poplar: speed skaters 20x each leg, 30 Jack Reachers
At Marshall: mountain climbers 40x, 30 Jack Reachers
At Trade: heels to heaven 40x, 30 Jack Reachers
YHC had planned to do the next thing t the parking deck at 4th and Spring, but not realizing that the lot was locked up tight, YHC had to modify locale.
At surface parking lot at North Main, pax did DB drills down through the parking spaces, then bear crawled back and forth across the width of the two rows of spaces. Then repeato.
We moseyed back to Bailey Park for the last very creative set: burpees 15x, 15 Jack Reachers

Announcements
Shmedfest – August 25th. Wise Man on Tuesday nights – portion of beer purchases go to Crisis Control/Shmedfest.
Beat The Heat on Saturday
Lunchbunch – Mooney’s today.
All YHC has time for today . . . always fun to check out some new scenery and get out of my posting routine. Good for the body, but also good for seeing Pax that you don’t regularly get to workout with/abuse on a regular basis! Thanks for the keys, Geppetto.

Solid. Wondering is any of the local residents of downtown opened their windows and yelled at the Pax to shut up. YHC hears that is a thing.
Red Eye
They did not. YHC received some casual words of caution prior to not use my Pita cadence.
