On This Day in History…
Was supposed to be the theme of this #Conspiracy workout but it faded and was forgotten in our sweat, the wetness, and Stormtrooper Twerks. 8 pax including YHC braved the wet humid morning back at Wiley Middle School rather than Brunson Elem. where we had been meeting. We returned now that the parking lot has been resurfaced and is accessible; it was so silky smooth, Mutton mentioned intentionally putting a rock under his back because he had gotten used to the gravel at Brunson.
This is how The Thang went down:
Warm-O-Rama
- 20x SSH in cadence
- 5x Stormtrooper Twerks which, for a gimmick, were surprisingly effective at stretching hip flexor and groin. They are difficult to sustain however because of their ridiculousness. However, only 5 are needed to get a decent stretch… Shout out to BEVO! for sending the Stormtrooper video which inspired the addition to the exercicon
- 15x Imperial Walker Stormtrooper in cadence
- 20x arm swirly things
- 20x jack reachers
- 10x Whirly with a Clap
Machu Pichu
YHC truly intended to have a “this day in history theme” but it was tacked on late last night and didn’t stick beyond this very first one. Blame it on the wetness (everything was very wet); but Machu Pichu was first discovered (by a white guy) on July 25th in 1911 – Hiram Young of the U.S.A. Moving on, the pax repeatedly ascended 6-flights of stairs whose steepness resembled the Peruvian Andes:
- Mosey to the top of the 6 flights of stairs behind Wylie Middle School
- 2 sets of 10x Moon-gods – in cadence
- Mosey to the bottom of the stairs for instructions and mumble chatter
- Partner-up, size matters
- Partner carry up the stairs 2x, switching when needed
- Wheelbarrow up the stairs 1.5x (each partner did one complete and then 0.5 of another)
- Plank while we wait for the six
Pull-Up Bars
History was forgotten as YHC audibled the route to the Pull-Up bars away from the path through the grass (you know, to keep our shoes dry) and back around through the new parking lot, to the long covered walkway. YHC wasn’t the only one who wanted to keep his feet dry – Mutton had requested during Warm O’Rama.
- Stay with your partner
- 2 sets of 10x
- Go until you can’t go anymore, then get your partner’s help
- Since we only had 8, and we were partnered up, no one had to wait so we just “took a minute” btw sets.
Bevo was an absolute animal and YHC believes the only pax member who did not need help during either set. He engaged in a technique called “kipping” which one of the pax shared involved using the momentum of the natural swing during the descent phase of the pull-up with a whole body rocking movement while pulling back up – probably best to just read about it.
Reynolds Bench Area
Mosey all the way up the covered pathway and through the tunnel to the bench area by Reynolds where we engaged in:
- 20 Dips oyo
- 20 Erkins oyo
- 20 Dips oyo
- 15 Erkins oyo
- 15 Dips
Mosey back to parking lot for Mary
Mary
After circling up, each pax chose a Mary exercise. Timing worked out perfectly as last Pax finished at 6:14.
Circle of Trust
Shmedfest coming up August 2, prayer for Elmer Fudd who had an accident with a motorcycle and the man died. Prayers for victim’s family and for Fudd and his family; JB’s torn meniscus and ACL; Peacemaker’s back. Prayer for the Vig and Spicoli’s trips to Wisconsin. YHC took us out with thanks for F3 and looking forward to our Lord’s return.

Strong Q Swiss Miss. So glad we did the sensible thing and didn’t get our shoes wet in the grass and instead did partner carries and wheelbarrows up several flights of slippery steps. #F3Logic
Huge T-Claps to my boy Glazer for coming through on partner carrying YHC notnonce bit twice. Dude is Dash Strong!
