With the impending doom that Hurricane Florence, YHC figured it would be good to teach the PAX about what goes into the creation of a hurricane:

Warm ocean water above 80 degrees Fahrenheit is needed to provide energy – Warm-O-Ramma

A low pressure system develops, around which surface winds rotate

PAX moved in a circle around the Lido Deck executing increasing number of reps and steps as follows:

• Dip x 1 + Dip Walk x 1, Dip x 2 + Dip Walk x 2, etc until 10 reps are completed or you are back to where you started
• Right Leg Step-up x 1 + Right Leg Lunge Walk x 1, Right Leg Step-up x 2 + Right Leg Lunge Walk x 2, etc until 10 reps are completed or you are back to where you started
• Irkin x 1 + Irkin Walk x 1, Irkin x 2 + Irkin Walk x 2, etc until 10 reps are completed or you are back to where you started
• Left Leg Step-up x 1 + Left Leg Lunge Walk x 1, Left Leg Step-up x 2 + Left Leg Lunge Walk x 2, etc until 10 reps are completed or you are back to where you started

Water vapor from the wind condenses to form clouds and rain.

Mosey to the rock pile and grab a cloud (rock).

As water vapor condenses, it releases heat, warming the surrounding air, making it lighter.

Humid air at about 18,000 feet supplies more energy as it is pulled into the storm, releasing more heat as moisture evaporates.

Project Stormfury was an attempt to weaken tropical cyclones by flying aircraft into them and seeding with shaved ice. One of the pilots was named Mary.

YHC brought us out thanking Him for the opportunity we all have to make the world a better place.  We asked that those with strong backs use their strength to help those in need.

• YHC was solo until 0654 when D-Day showed up. I was in the process of convincing him to join me at Starbucks then Green Acres ran in. He looked like he wanted to workout.
• Lido Deck work was a crowd pleaser.  Burlap and Parkay questioned if we were rotating in the same direction as a hurricane. We were.
• Bulldog thought he had my plan figured out at The Rock Pile then we did 10 reps again.  He was not happy.
• I am always baffled by Lite Bright’s running cadence.  He has to do double the number of steps at less than half the stride and is still faster than me!
• Drip and Undertow are silent warriors that put their head down and work!  Always love working out with those guys!
• Spamalot has an inspiring story about his British flag tattoo.  He was in Britain, wanted to commemorate the trip and got a tattoo.
• Goofy likes that we added a fourth F. Math.
