The WIB pax gathered at one of our regular AOs – one that typically doesn’t allow running. YHC has always thought that Parliament aka SW Elementary provides plenty of features for a good bootcamp and since the WIB Q picks the location why not tour this great AO which, coincidentally is close to Chez DQ.

A nice mix of familiar pax faces – some regular WIBers, some regular Parliamentarians, one early back from Texas all gathered.  Site Q Thistle and HC Drano did not show but we began without them.

Mosey to the curbs near the big wall for stop 1

perform 10 Mike Tysons – no merkin style

Mosey down steps to track around football field upon reaching goalpost pretend your team has scored a touchdown and perform 7 merkins – now for the crowd pleasing part – at each passing of a goal post on this route stop and add 7 merkins. ie. 14, 21, 28…

After north goal post stop mosey to playground equipment and perform 5 pullups – modify with supine if necessary

Bear crawl up the hill toward school

Stop by bricks and get two per pax and perform 10 wonderbras

Mosey on to the picnic tables and perform 10 alternating step ups or box jumps

That equals one lap – complete as many as possible in time allotted

Pax completed 5 laps for just under 3 miles and 385 (yes you read that right) merkins. Along with the other stuff.  We also got in a couple of Mary exercises – Freddie Mercs and Snow Angels. Strong work by all!

NMM

• TMN took extra time in Warmorama circle getting his equipment properly in place – reminds me of Little League baseball – “Coach is your catcher properly equipped?”
• It was darker than YHC anticipated going down steps to track – 3 headlamps helped but they were all worn by slow guys. Tclaps to fastholes for not falling
• Fingers learned merkins after a score is somewhat of a tradition in football – he’s sticking with the band
• YHC didn’t anticipate 5 laps so last 133 merkins were quite the #crowdpleaser
• Good to have Starfish join us for a mid week workout.  #stormchaser
• Schneider had the day off with classes cancelled at UNCSA #whatsupwiththat
• We may or may not get more moisture accumulation in the next two days than Starfish left on SW parking lot
• Zima was sad no Sumo Drill today

Starfish mentioned his MIL dealing with some health issues.  Of course those in the path of the storm
