YHC got stitches on the inside of my right knee last week, and per the recommendation of the doc I should avoid wet/dirty things around my wound for 2 weeks. With 4 days to go til that mark, YHC made a point to avoid the wet grassy football fields #TheDistillery is well known for at all costs this morning. Since YHC’s family owns the Meineke just down the street, I had #Torque (who manages the Meineke, and is still adjusting to baby life and his busy work schedule) leave some tires out for us to play with….

• @Sassy asked for prayers for his Great Uncle who had up to a few days to live; later that day he updated me that he had passed away peacefully. His family is at peace that he is no longer in pain and all are happy knowing he is home up in Heaven.

• Prayers for the coast recovery as a whole.
• YHC took us out giving thanks and asking for wisdom and calm for those impacted by the hurricane.
• YHC also learned later that it was the 1 year anniversary of Hurricane Maria, which devastated Puerto Rico and is still affecting thousands today. So prayers for that whole island as well.

• Fun times at the distillery this morning (as usual)!
• @SourMash graced us with his presence for the entire 45 minutes today because his daughter has a photo shoot??! Very cool, and we enjoyed the extra 15 minutes with you, even if you didn’t!
• @Vegemite is a #WeFoCo regular now, when is his VQ!?!?
• @Wobegon pushed the pace up front this morning. Talked about how he is getting ready for hockey season, already watching pre-season fun. Anyone up for another Thunderbirds outing?!
• @Fingers encouraged the PAX to do one more set of Merkins this AM so we could get to YHC’s goal of 150, after the workout was declared over. Love this guy, always upbeat, accountable, and striving to do his best! #TClaps #Respect
• @Sassy talked about his hometown and the flooding going on there. Pretty devastating what Florence brought, glad a man of faith such as him is able to go help with recovery efforts.
• No @Schneider this morning, as he claimed to need his beauty sleep for a new driver’s license photo… since we know how great those always turn out!
