6 PAX converged on a new location within the outer limits of the #WeFoCo footprint. There was some heartburn over it with some of the WeFoCo PAX, but the Site Q ultimately approved the launch point and we were off. See the pre-blast in an earlier post for the details, but we launched from the Food Lion on 158 across from the Tasting Room. YHC substi-Qed the route due to an unnamed PAX that rhymes with Nice Prancer who was dealing with injury concerns and helping take care of a newborn. YHC was happy to see that that unnamed PAX joined us as the 7th member after COT. YHC didn’t see his car in the parking lot and we wrapped things up a couple minutes early, but alas, after 6 miles on more loosened legs, he found us.
Topics ranged from the large hills that we ran up and down to the upcoming Bourbon Chase to YHC doesn’t know, it’s Monday and YHC only remembers hoping to finish.
Prayer Requests
Two members of the PAX had unspoken requests, please keep those in your prayers.
NMM
Sour Mash with yet another slaying of a big hilled run, he is ready for the upcoming race and YHC is excited to see his progress pay off, yet concerned his family may not be able to put a meal on the table after Mash makes his rounds of the various distilleries…we’ll see.
Harden was nursing a bum knee, but seemed to have a strong run and was in good shape at the end.
Schneider keeps his machine like efforts going and has been a vital member of the training team for the race.
Singing Cowboy was never out of breath and just seemed to enjoy the company more so than actually run at his speed. Not many guys would tag along and encourage to the level he has, and we are all grateful for your encouragement and push.
Drano did hill repeats and looped around us about a half dozen times because he didn’t know the route. YHC wasn’t really familiar with the route either, so he did his thing.
Ice Dancer started after all of us and finished barely after us, but somehow we never crossed paths. There was a minor loop in the route we ran and he must have passed us in that loop. Glad that the leg is feeling better and hope it continues to heal.
