As you all know, YHC’s birthday is 10.21. A couple weeks ago Greenspan approached YHC with the idea of a birthday-themed “Q v. Q”  workout since his was 10.25. The idea was YHC would Q for half and Greenspan would Q for half. YHC was amenable to the idea, prepared accordingly, and was ready to go at Leinbach Park at 7:00am.

Problem of course was that #Impossible Situation’s AO is Hanes Park. So, YHC, accompanied by his 9-yr-old 2.0 (FNG), was a little late. The below represents

Warm-O-Rama:  SSHs, copperhead squats, Whirlys-with-a-cap, Age Vigodas, and slow dive bombers.

The Thang’:

(Greenspan’s)

• Mosey to the playground
• 2x sets of high/low/mid balanced step-ups on playground wall (
• Mosey to the bottom of the Intimidator
• 2x sets calf raises on the steps at the bottom
• Lap 1
  • Clover –> Carolina –> Brookstown –> West End
  • 5x Dive Bombers and 10x Cherry Pie Death Crunches
• Lap 2
  • Clover –> Jersey –> Brookstown –> West End
  • 10x dive bombers and 20x Cherry Pie Death Crunches

This is when YHC (Swiss Miss) arrived!!!

• Lap 3
  • Clover –> W. 5th –> Brookstown –> West End
  • 15x Dive Bombers and 30x Cherry Pie Death Crunches
• Greenspan led the Pax in singing Happy Birthday to YHC at this point

(Swiss Miss Q)

• Mosey to the Shelter
• Tabata!
  • 4x sets of:  Dips, Step-Ups, Derkins, LBCs
  • We sang Happy Birthday to Greenspan at this point
  • 4x sets of:  Erkins, on all fours leg-raises behind-not-to-the-side (neither the Pax nor YHC could remember the name of these but Snooki taught them to us – perhaps Snooki raises?), heels 2 heaven, elbow plank
• There was a significant amount of good-natured mumble chatter here including mumble chatter about the mumble chatter

YHC took us out in prayer, remembering the less fortunate and being thankful for all we have been given).

YHC was more than willing to write the BB as penance for being late (sorry to all and especially my co-Q) but told Greenspan he therefore would not include the following:
