You get what you get and you don’t pitch a fit
QIC: Plunger
Date: 02-18-19
PAX: Whirly, Greenspan (WB), Pita, Root Canal (WD), TPS, Plunger
YHC answered the call from Greenspan to blast from the fartsack and take the keys to the Outhouse. Rain was in the forecast so expectations of additional Pax joining were somewhat tempered. On arrival (and purposeful drive by) YHC noticed Whirly and another strange ride in the parking lot. But YHC had scouting to do. It had been a while since posting to the outhouse so , of course YHC needed to make sure they did not move the necessary beatdown accouterments, you know like school parking lots, light poles, covered bench areas and such. A quick swing past Jefferson to confirm all was just as YHC left off last time. While wheeling it around a flash went by. It was later that YHC would realize this was the site Q – Greenspan getting in a little extra credit.
Once arriving to designated launch point, YHC saw Whirly first then could it be, yes, Pita was out of retirement (we would soon learn that he is substiQing tomorrow at Flatline. Note to all future Q’s, if it’s been a while, it is always good to come out the day before you Q, that way you are nice and sore (I mean warmed up). Anyway, I digress. Next in sight was Root Canal who bellowed out the Tclaps for the Twitter blast, and also confirmed that it was his duty to support a fellow #respect. And to round us out there was TPS lurking in to support YHC in his rainy Outhouse endeavor. With all of the #HIMS in and accounted for, we began. Of course there is always the Plunger disclaimer of if you were expecting wit and creativity, you came to the wrong spot. Basic beatdown is YHC’s comfort zone. So seeing no fit being pitched, we officially began – on time – of course. Most of what occurred is precisely documented her:
Warmorama – Standard fare: (SSH, IST, Chuck Norris Merkins, Abe Vigoda – note Root was mumbling something over there about perfect speed and stopping at 11, but YHC can’t hear and so nothing was acknowledged, Whirly has the “crap”, Toy soldiers, running with Scissors – in honor of Lysol – YHC is not sure why he always thinks of Lysol with those. – Odd…, and we closed with Copperhead Squats
The Thang
Mosey around the track to the rockpile at the entrance. Grab a rock that you are willing to share and then do the standard rock work fare of: Curls, rotate, Skull Crushers, rotate, OHP, rotate, Bent over Rows, rotate, and rinse and repeat. Note -Pita was causing a little Rock Envy, but on to Part 2.
Mosey down the sidewalk to the school entrance, with speed humps to include Scorpion Dry docks, yes of course we will do the other leg Root… life has to have balance. Finally we arrive to the well lit and dry school parking lot for Dora 50-100-200 (Merkins, WWII Situps, and Squats). A perfect 6 not 7 means 3 teams of 2. Root and YHC, TPS and Whirly and Greenspan and Pita. All perfect matches. Solid encouragement from Pita with the high fives as the Pax are looping the 100 yards down and back to the last light pole – no bulb of course – (tax payer dollars). All finished with six team and then to the covered picnic area for some of the usual bench work (Dips, right leg step up, Irkins, Left leg step ups, and of course repeato).
We needed to get back home so of course we had to go the same way we came with speed bumps and all and of course the multiple leg dry dock scorpions. Back just in time for Mary and the magical eight minutes she deserves. we did the standard fare here as well, including box cutters – of course, LBCs, low flutter, low dolly, mutton crunch, both legs off the ground, penguin crunch, dying cockroach, and of course Rosalita – that loose lady… We wrapped with some silly yoga moves to act like we were stretching and we were finished.
Announcements – Pita (gastrc marvel that he is) is back and has the Q at Flatline tomorrow, LB is on the injured reserve
Prayer Requests – Keith Vest as he continues to work through his treatments, Sherry Altman, Palin, Thistle and Lite Brite (sickness), Green Acres – shoulder surgery, and celebration of 1600 youth who attended the faith celebration this past weekend in celebration.
YHC took the PAX out with prayer giving thanks for the encouragement of each other and the ability to get out and do this in the rain.
