Rolling Sixes
QIC: SGT Schultz
Date: 16 March 2019
PAX: Blue Light Special, Drama Queen (WD), Drano, Harden, Scrubbing Bubbles (WB), SGT Schultz, Sour Mash
7 PAX watched the sun rise during a beat down on a pleasant March morning at Charlie Foxtrot.
WARMARAMA: Performed at the parking lot below Morgan Elementary, we completed a medley of SSHs, Seal Claps, Hillbillies, Whirly’s With a Clap, Abe Vigodas, and some standing hamstring stretches.
THE THANG: We moseyed from the parking lot to the traffic circle next to Morgan Elementary, and turned right to the dead end road that runs alongside the pond. There, YHC had pre-positioned a stack of bricks, some lights, some cones, some dice, some music and a Weinke. The PAX paired off into two man teams, with Drano, Scrubbing Bubbles and YHC forming a dynamic trio. Each team was issued a pair of bricks and a die. The beatdown went like this:
Partner # 1 performed the listed exercise with bricks, while Partner # 2 ran to the lights/cones, located about 50 yards away down a gentle decline. Arriving at the lights/cones, Partner # 2 rolled the die and performed that number of burpees. Partner # 2 then returned to Partner # 1 (now running uphill). Flapjack and Repeato continuously. When the team had collectively performed 100 reps of the listed exercise, they moved on to the next listed exercise.
The listed exercises were as follows:
- Merkins (performed with hands on bricks)
- Lateral Raises
- Squats
- Front Raises
- Head Halos
- Nolan Ryans (holding bricks)
- Cabbage Patch
- Overhead Press
- Alternating Lunges
- Curls
- Skull Crushers
It took the PAX until approximately 0745 to complete the entire Weinke, with the dynamic trio of Drano, Scrubbing Bubbles and YHC finishing last because we rolled a SIX no fewer than 10 times, resulting in a bumper crop of Burpees that held us up.
After all teams had completed the Weinke, we moseyed back to the traffic circle and then to the far side of Morgan Elementary, where YHC had stashed a 25 lb kettle bell. We grabbed some wall and assumed the People’s Chair. After performing 20 Jack Reachers, we then passed the kettle bell from one end to the other and back again, while continuing to perform Jack Reachers in the People’s Chair. After a short 10-count, we resumed the People’s Chair and passed the kettle bell from one end to the other, this time performing 10 curls with the kettlebell before passing it on to the next PAX.
At 0752, we moseyed back to the parking lot, toting the kettle bell as we went.
MARY: We conducted Mary democratically, with 4 PAX calling out exercises, including Snow Angels, Penguin Crunches, LBCs and Freddie Mercuries until 0800 arrived.
COT:
- Prayers for the victims in New Zealand
- Continued prayers for the victims of the airline crash in Ethiopia
- Praises for YHC’s mother in law’s successful hip replacement surgery
- YHC took us out, thanking our Lord for the morning and asking Him to use each of us to do Good and spread Joy in this troubled world
- All 7 PAX enjoyed a pleasant breakfast at Biscuitville, enjoying the fellowship of one another
Thanks for the keys, Harden!

Nice Q, Srgt. Shultz! This workout was sneaky difficult. The incline by the lake wore on you over time. Not sure how come every time I returned to roll the dice @Sour Mash had left it on a 1 or a 2. #BetterLuckthanMe
