A Sobering Pub Crawl for April Fools’ Day RNG!
QIC: toto
Date: 04/01/2019
PAX: Butter, Burlap, Lysol, Juice Box, 'Bout Time, Resistor, Lawnboy, Palin, Toto
9 Pax braved nearly ideal conditions for a #RNG that had been billed as innovative and exceptional. While the q may have oversold a bit, we did attack our duties in a different fashion. Instead of a prescribed route (q vs. u), today we simply set a goal to visit Joymongers, Small Batch, Wiseman, Fiddlin’ Fish, Incendiary and Foothills and let our internal compasses guide the way (u in harmony with u). An optimal route would result in 3.15 miles being covered. Some achieved that status and others added a bit here and there to reach the same spots while covering ~3.3 mi. That’s a 5+k.
Tabata followed the running. Through 3 rounds the full body was worked out.
The Word:
- Toto: Thanks for the blessing of the group and that we may carry the fellowship throughout the day. Prayers for awareness that we can pass on to our 2.0.
NMM:
- Lysol was all WarDamnEagled out this morning. He’s wondering if Mongoose, Mutton or Patch have tickets for Minneapolis that he could buy off them?
- Those WarDamEagle Tigers took it to the Blue Bloods this year. Not often that one team knocks Kansas, UNC and Kentucky out.
- Resistor was pretty quiet this morning…all business.
- Palin ran Manly with Toto, then waited a few times as Toto sleuthed a near optimal route
- ‘Bout Time parked around the corner from Joymongers and so did Lawnboy
- Turns out that Joymonger’s cleaning crew starts working on the glass at 6:00. This is likely the first time that they were treated to a middle-aged men’s workout group as they started their day.
- Next time we do a pub crawl, let’s push it to 5:30 pm and go with more of a ruck vs. running style.
Aye!

This format is good enough to steal. Sadly, my internal compass picked a relatively direct but very hilly route. Thanks to ‘BoutTime for running with me.

Great format @Toto! A little change goes a long way to keep it real! Nice push from Butter too…some tough hills (7th st route for sure) we struggled up. And some mighty Haloed ground for my Tigers — Final 4 bound!
