Litterbox of the Corn
QIC: SGT Schultz
Date: November 4, 2019
PAX: Bevo, Greenspan, Litterbox (WB), SGT Schultz (QIC, WD)
At 0528, Greenspan and YHC were staring at each other in the Leinbach Park parking lot, thinking that it was going to be a lonely beatdown. At 0529, Bevo pulled up in his car. At that same moment, Litterbox emerged out of the woods between the YMCA and Leinbach Park like a scene from Children of the Corn. And suddenly there were 4 PAX!
WARMARAMA: Starting in the Leinbach Park parking lot, a mix of SSHs, ISTs, Arm Swirly Things, Seal Claps, Overhead Claps, Whirly’s With a Clap, and Abe Vigodas. Finishing up with some standing hamstring stretches and seated groin stretches, we moved onto the Thang.
THE THANG: A short mosey from Leinbach Park over to Mount Tabor United Methodist Church (where myself and several PAX are members), where YHC had set up a course running along the perimeter of the parking lots around Mount Tabor UMC (approximately 0.35 miles in distance), consisting of the following pain stations:
- Dips
- Wall Sits and Jack Reachers (with bricks)
- Monkey Humpers
- Crunchy Frogs
- Skull Crushers (with an assortment of dumbbells and kettlebells)
- An ab exercise of your choice (common selections were American Hammers and Heels to Heaven)
- Derkins
- Goblet Squats (with an assortment of dumbbells and kettlebells)
After an inaugural loop to explain and demonstrate the various exercises, in which we performed 20 reps of each exercise at each station, we got after it. We continued performing 20 reps at each pain station, and managed to generally keep together throughout. YHC had utilized this workout concept and location before back in March, when I had Q’d an installment of #WIB. It remains a good one.
I found out from Greenspan today that the lowlying area behind the church gym, where we do wall sits and exercises with bricks, had previously been nicknamed “Sheol” by the PAX.
The PAX completed 4 laps by 0610 and returned in groups of 2 back to the Leinbach Park parking lot (Greenspan and YHC thought Bevo and Litterbox were right behind us, while they thought we were behind them and waited in vain for us to catch up.) Greenspan and YHC assumed the low plank position until 0615, when Litterbox and Bevo arrived.
NMM/COT:
- Blue Steel and family need help on Friday and Saturday moving to their new house
- Litterbox needs a Substi-Q for Impossible Situation on Saturday (YHC might take it on, let me check)
- Prayers for Blue Steel and his family on their journey ahead as they deal with a curveball life has thrown their way
- Bevo took us out in prayer, giving thanks for our brotherhood and prayers for Blue Steel and his family.
Thanks for the keys, Greenspan!

I loved this workout both originally and today. Great mix of exercises that made for a full-body beatdown.
