Yesterday’s real big circle was brought to you by Mutton.  From Knollwood Church we made a right on Westview. Right on Country Club, Right on Miller and the last right on Knollwood back home.  3.3 Miles in all.  The weather was chilly, but the times were good.

We had time for 3 rounds of Tabata.

Please read his faith testimony.  It is remarkable.

Dear friends and family,

I am writing to share about a traumatic loss, but more importantly, I am writing to testify about an unbelievable flood of love, friendship and support in a time when we were feeling unknown and isolated.

On October 18, I got up early to go to an F3 work-out and eat breakfast with some guys. On the way, I was in a serious motorcycle accident. The impact crushed my left leg, and the fall broke ribs on both sides and a bone in my left hand. A friend happened to be running by and was able to apply a tourniquet to my thigh with his shirt and check for head trauma and spinal injuries. Another two F3 guys stopped and called 911. They stayed with me until the police and ambulance arrived, by which time I was passed-out from blood loss.

In the E.R., my wife and brother were waiting for me and advocating for me to get into the O.R. with a nerve block. My left leg was amputated above the knee, cleaned and closed to be fitted with a prosthesis. As word spread through our church, F3 and my work community, an outpouring of prayer, love, service and support has overwhelmed us every day; so much so that I feel more blessed than injured, more complete in love than severed in body.

There have been hard, painful nights and medical complications and days lost to insurance battles, but all throughout, our family has been hoisted on the shoulders of hundreds of friends and angels, known and anonymous, joyously, like a beloved palanquin in a religious parade. This is the glory of God revealed as his will designed, through his physical Earthly body, in brotherly love, humble service, and joyous giving; imitating Christ. We are so humbled and grateful to receive such honor.

Farm Store run at Crossnore 1 mile run is Sunday, December 15.  3 pm.  5k and one miler.

Prayers for Blue Steele and my brother-in-law as he deal with Multiple Myeloma.
