The Morning After…
QIC: Boomerang
Date: November 16, 2019
PAX: Singing Cowboy, Schneider, Quiver, Sixty Minutes, Sourmash, Whaler, Harden, Roofy (FNG), The Deuce(FNG and WB) and Boomerang (WD and Q).
A lot of chatter took place the evening before Charlie Foxtrot. Something about 60 Minutes, a bar and EHing. One can imagine the comments and as expected they continued in the morning as we neared the start of the workout. YHC again had to obtain blocks in the cold windy morning from an undisclosed location, but let’s just say Gucci I left a $20 by the cafeteria loading dock! Once I arrived at the AO I did second guess if I had dressed sufficiently. Cards and cardboard had to be secured as the winds kicked up to at least 40 mph.
Anyway…the workout began as follows and yes at the start there were 9 including an FNG, former Marine, was there..
Warmarama-the normal-SSH, EST, Whirlies, Arm Swirlies, and some attempt at something YHC has seen HOG do, but a fail on my part-a lie on the ground Abe Vigoda.
Mosey to school for the workout and it was here that we added another FNG, Roofy to the PAX.
The workout went loosely like this…
4 stations each with a stack of cards and a list of exercises.
Station 1
Squats (Both Sides)
Lunges (Single Count)
Bonnie Blairs (Single Count)
Station 2
Curls
Benchpress
Bent Over Rows
Station 3
LBC’s
Low Flutters (Single Count)
Freddie Mercuries (Single Count)
Station 4
Merkins
Carolina Dry Docks
Jack Reachers
Divided into 4 groups, at each station draw 3 cards. Cards dictated the reps for each exercise-10 to Ace-30, 5-9-20 and 2 to 4-15. As there were Jokers throughout the stacks of card, if drawn the PAX skipped an exercise and did 10 burpees. Sufficent chatter was had as the Jokers appeared more than expected, although YHC did adjust the number of Burpees to 5 as the workout progressed. Repeato until 6 minutes left, mosey back to the Smoker’s Lot for Mary.
Mary was round robin-Mutton Crunches, Alabama Prom Date, Gas Pumps, Half Up LBC’s (YHC thinks) and Penguin Crunches.

Announcements:
Welcome to FNG’s, Tony Hanes, now known as Roofy and Mark DeLuca, now known as The Deuce. Naming thanks to Schneider and Sourmash. Never let the brothers Perry partner as no good comes from it. One will have to ask them the methodology they used to arrive at the names. We like to keep the Backblasts at a PG rating.
Prayer Requests:
Bluesteel and family
Goofy’s father-in-law
Boomerang’s Sister
YHC took us out with prayers for the requests mentioned, thanking God for allowing us to workout, encouraging us to be men who love others well and for F3.
Mumble Chatter is always harder to heat when the PAX is divided up in stations, but it appeared there were lively conversations around as the PAX got after it and some complaints were heard each time the Joker appeared. As YHC was making sure all was going well at each station, Harden did ask if YHC was just there to supervise, maybe. Good to get to spend time with Harden and Whaler. Singing Cowboy and Quiver did move one of the stations to a less windy location, not sure if it worked or not. 60 Minutes was a great host for the FNG’s. I am not sure what was going on with Schneider and Mash, as said earlier, no good comes from a pairing of the Perry brothers.
Harden, thanks for the keys, I might have left the them where I dropped off the blocks, you can get them next Tuesday. Always a pleasure to lead the fine men of F3.

Outstanding name for the BB, especially in light of the name of one of the FNGs. 10/10! Glad to see that the tropical storm force winds extended to WeFoCo.
