With the predicted heat wave, the QIC determined a song list helping the pax fake it until they make it was in order:

Thankfully the local trash removal truck had keys to the gates, otherwise pax would have been stranded on the dark tennis courts.  Either Bluto and Interference (or possibly TSC #alloldguyslook alike) walked to the AO, or got in an extra 13 miles before the beatdown because they were already down by the school when pax drove down.

With no time to spare, the Q fired up the tunes and the pax got after it!

Warm-o-rama

• the usual mixture with some various light mosey between exercises since it was a wee bit chilly
• there was a robust discussion about the middle and the various references it can take.  In this instance it was simply the halfway point from one curb to another

The Thang

• Greta 1-2-3 (Dora’s Icelandic Cousin, but no intention or correlation to climate activist Greta Thunberg
  • 100 Curls
  • 200 Goblet Squats with Overhead Press
  • 300 Cardigans (originally named Pullovers, but Interference and Bluto’s razor sharp movie quote minds immediately went to the Dumb and Dumber scene shown above, #thanksfornoticing)
  • While P1 is doing exercise P2 runs with kettlebell to turnaround point, leaves kettlebell there and runs back to P1
  • P1 runs to kettlebell, picks it up and returns it to P2
• 50 Ketllebell Swings & 50 WWII
• 40 swings & 40 WWII
• 30 swings & 30 WWII
• 20 swings & 20 WWII
• 10 swings & 10 WWII
• Plank and upward dog/stretch your back out from all those WWII’s until we hit 45 minutes

• If Lace invites you to Tiffany’s, it’s actually a roller skating rink, but that’s not awkward at all
• This revelation led to a robust conversation about roller skating rink names from our childhood
  • In Atlanta, there was JellyBeans, the rocking roller rink on Roswell Road, a standard from YHC’s childhood
  • Intially Bluto mocked Lace’s and YHC’s contribution wondering what was up with the weird names, until he remembered that Starlight was the name of the rink in his home town.  Pax discussed how there were probably some older dudes who would show up expecting to see Murph and the Magic Tones playing at the Starlight only to be disappointed to have a bunch of kids doing couple skates!
• Pax quickly picked up on the heat themed songs
• Pax learned that circulation to fingers returned after we stopped running and did the swings and WWII’s, another proof point that #runningisstupid
• It was a little odd to hear Manscape call Closer a “lazy sack of sh$t” but I’m sure he deserved it (that may not have happened, but would be a funny sight if it did. #anybodyeverseenManscapeangry )
• Nobody took up TSC’s offer to start doing kettlebell swings one handed, pax determined they liked their toes too much.  If Zuck had been there, he could have shown off how far he throws his bell.
• YHC went into prayer auto-pilot mode during COT and offered to bless this food to the nourishment of our body’s.
