PAX: The Singing Cowboy, Schneider, 60 Minutes, Little House

On a Monday morning, where 4 out of 5 participants claimed that they had to escape skunk aromas at their own homes, the poor souls that had gathered in the gloom got to work, with not a minute to spare.  As with every other Gucci Q, there was a 15 minute warm up in a shelter, shielded from meandering trash trucks, followed by a solid half our of continuous movement.

 

We started with what I am told has been called “The Collider” by Drama Queen, where 2 pax when clockwise on the front Y track, while the other 3 when counter-clockwise.

  • At the first rendezvous, everyone did 5 burpees
  • At the second, everyone did 10 sumo squats
  • Third, we knocked out 15 ‘Mericans
  • Fourth, jumped into 20 monkey humpers
  • Finally, the crew knocked out 25 Carolina Dry Docks, and moseyed together (counter-clockwise) t0 the jungle gym

Once at the jungle gym, Gucci and Little House decided to give free-hanging leg tucks a shot, given that the new Army Fitness Test requires them in the near future.  Participants were free to do 5-10 of those, and all parties came away working muscles they never knew they had.  The Q feels confident that if he continues to work on the fat winterized version of himself into the spring, that this bit of practice might set him up for success.

 

After the leg tucks, everyone did 10 dips in cadence (some with better form than others), followed by 5 pull-ups with kicking allowed.

The assembled hoard of WeFoCo then moseyed over to the wall on the other shelter to take the People’s Chair, and in sequence do:

  • 10x Jack Reachers
  • 10x Mike Tysons
  • 10x wonder bras
  • Followed by some balls to the wall with 10x shoulder taps all together

This left a nearly perfect 5 minutes for Mary:

  • 15x American Hammer
  • 15x Penguin Crunch
  • 15x Low Dolly
  • 15x Alabama Prom Dates
  • 10x Pickle Pounders
  • 15x LBCs

After that, we circled up for:

Announcements:

  • Little House’s son Mason is going into his next round of Chemo, and is doing very well, only being 2 weeks behind his treatment schedule, where most kids can be months behind
  • Drama Queen has the Q at Parliament on 1/28/20
  • The Singing Cowboy has PLENTY of Firewood free to a good home

Prayer Requests:

  • We continue to pray for the successful treatment and comfort of Mason, as he starts his next round of Chemo
  • We pray for the family of Little House, as they deal with the passing of a grandmother
  • We pray for Schneider’s uncle, as he is in palliative care, and approaching his last days with us on earth
