PAX: Bevo, Palin, Blue Steel, Ziggy Stardust, Boomerang, Turnover, Greenspan, Van Gogh, Starfish, Drip, Huckleberry

YHC received the “gentle” reminder from the TRQ site Q early in the week that the Q was mine and that I better be there.  The weather all week has been a washout and the forecast for Thursday did not look much better.  With several PAX on the IR with lower leg injuries, yhc attempted to create a beatdown that would allow us to stay in one place, stay dry, and be safe for all pax.  An idea popped in my head and the workout was placed on a weinke.  It would require some supplies so I looked at the weather to see how many pax would show.  monsoon was the forecast……so probably just yhc will show up.  supplies for one were put in the car.  then VG sent a message that he would be there.  supplies for two were put in the car.  before yhc went to bed I thought…..maybe a few more pax will show, but unlikely.  to be safe…..supplies for 5 were placed in the car.  Time to go to bed so I can get up, drive to the AO, sit in the rain for 5 mins, go to dunkin doughnuts for coffee, and tweet about my “solo workout”.

Alarm goes off and all I hear is downpour.  yep, complete washout.  knowing that no one will be there, I take my time getting ready.  walk to the car and drive with the windshield wipers on high to the AO.  As I round the curve to see the AO, the parking lot is full.  WHAT?????  I pull in and see 10 pax standing under the shelter in the downpour.  And it hits me……these guys are idiots……….and I love them.  I did not want to be anywhere else.  And I did not have enough supplies!!!!

Luckily the pax brought supplies and i distributed what i had brought.  everyone needed a heavy weight and a light weight.  we spread out under the shelter and the workout started……there was no running and no one moved more than 5 inches.  and the rain never stopped.

YHC took us out

NMM

upon arrival yhc yells at pax “what are you doing here?”   I did not get a response….they were not sure either.

palin “I am glad your speaker is waterproof”……YHC “It’s not”  Palin “huh……….”

Bevo “will you move the speaker closer to me?? ” the man and push it like no other but needs his music

I wish I had a picture of Greenspans face when the mountain climbers were changed to burpees.  there are not words to describe it…….but my soul has been scarred.

VG modified the lunges with low flutter…..he later stated he regretted this.

the weinke got wet….no one cared.

Blue steel is a machine……..

Turnover refused to put the cinder block down

All pax pushed hard and got wet even under the shelter.  there was more MC but we were appropriately distanced so I couldnt hear all the joyous comments being made – please add.

It is always a pleasure to be with the dash pax….no matter the weather, they show up, they push, they provide support.

Boomerang the keys were lost in the flood.
