Beautiful Fall Weather For REDLINE
QIC: BALCO
Date: 06/16/20
PAX: H.O.G., Resistor, Winklevoss, Greenspan, Chomper
Despite the early fall weather a total of 6 PAX converged at HP. We began with a counter-clockwise jaunt around the park. We gathered at the bridge at the bottom of Glade for quick instruction.
The Thang
1. Run up Glade at 5K/10K intensity for 30 sec then return to bottom with that same intensity(i.e. NOT a mosey). This was rapidly repeated for 60s and 90s without a break between trips
2. Modified Recovery Peleton (MRP) up Glade to interesting with Clover.
3. Recovery mosey to down intimidator to base of Brookstown.
4. Repeat 30/60/90 intervals as before up Brookstown
5. MRP up Brookstown to Jersey then L on Jersey to Pilot View
6. Repeat 30/60/90 intervals as before up PV
7. Mosey back to lot
FIN
Prayer requests – Whirly’s M has recently had surgery and needs prayers for pain relief
Announcements – Shmedfest workout new soon to be release with fundraising opportunity
NMM
1. There was plenty of discussion today about global warming (#FakeNews). The PAX had wished we had done a better job warming the planet. However, by the end of the workout the PAX appreciated the temps
2. Resistor complained about the MRP thinking he was too old for such craziness. I respectfully disagree bc he was doing a fine job keeping up
3. YHC had to encourage the PAX to increase their intensity as we enjoyed PV. YHC requested that they run like they would if they were trying to beat their 13 yo child for the last time in a 5K. This seemed to encourage them to try harder.
4. H.O.G. does not stand for High Occupancy Gut bc he nearly lost it on PV. Perhaps he needs to talk with The Vig about how to work that out

Resistor
Great plan and really tough ( pilot view !) I really appreciate beatdowns that keep the pax close together ( but comfortably six feet apart). I will however challenge the notion that a reverse peloton with the likes of Balco, Chomper, Hog, Winklevoss and Greenspan constitutes a recovery exercise.
