NO running!
QIC: Boomerang
Date: 06/18/2020
PAX: Undertow, Starfish, Blue Steel, $5Footlong, Sgt Schultz, Ziggy Stardust, Tigger (WB), Green Acres (WD), Total Recall, Boomerang
As AO Site Q and SubstiQ of TRQ today, I, and am sure the PAX, were pleased to arrive to a damp but rain free morning and also to leave with the same weather pattern. We however were not dry as all put in strong work.
YHC delivered the F3 motto, hopefully correctly and F3 approved.
Warmarama proceeded as normal-SSH, IST, Abe Vigoda, Arm Swirlies, mosey then some fast feet, stretches, mosey some more then Whirlies and more stretches.
Lunge walk and mosey to the rock pile to pick a rock, encouragement from the Q to pick a challenging size rock and return to the driveway for the beatdown.
PAX would do the following 7 exercises beginning at 5 reps, cover a prescribed distance with a rotation of bear crawls and lunges, return to the 7 exercises increasing by 5 reps and repeat. The reps were 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 20 before time was called.
EXERCISES-Overhead Claps, Curls, Skull Crushers, Squats, Overhead Press, American Hammer and Merkins. PAX were using their rock on all exercises except the OH Claps. It only takes one time and you learn!
Overtime of 2 minutes was filled with Mary-LBC’s and Mutton Crunches.
Finished!
Announcements/COT:
24 hours of Schmedfest in August-details to follow
Green Acres has Q at Purgatory on 6/20
D-Day has the Q for the Fathers’ Day Ruck on 6/21
Prayers for $5Footlong on some medical billing issues and for our city and country during these challenging times. YHC took us out.
NMC:
YHC had anticipated doing some running this AM, but quickly changed the workout as Starfish mentioned something about rules, Spamalot and Burlap. Always the one you try to keep up with at a beatdown too.
The music selection was from Classic Rewind on Sirius XM. Comments on songs included Undertow’s comments that we don’t rock and roll all night anymore-Respects. Sgt Schultz began to make a move to distance himself from the speaker as a Rush song began to play. Fortunately, it was only an ad! Solid work by these Respects.
Don’t recall having worked out with Tigger, dude is strong and showed no signs of fatigue even after what sounded like a solid beatdown at BNW the day before.
Always inspired by Blue Steel’s push at each workout at which we cross paths. My money is on him every time to push forward. Well done!
Green Acres mentioned he challenged himself with a larger rock, more like a boulder.
Glad to continue to see TR out, think he is ready to get on the Q schedule again.
$5Footlong was solid today, even after a weekend of moving and trying to find where everything was packed.
I heard it before and have watched it twice this week, Ziggy Stardust is a silent machine at workouts. Quiet and gets it done, no stopping or holding back.
Oh yeah, if more than 5 PAX hear it the same way , then what the Q meant was probably wrong.
Great to lead a phenomenal group of men this morning. STRONG work!!
