After designing a Q for Purgatory yesterday I remembered the number of pax that posted last week and realized that this workout would only work with 12 or less pax. So I pulled a recent workout that was piloted but not deployed as my more than 12 pax back-up. I’m glad that I did…….
23 posted this morning in hopes of getting better. Here is what happened.
Warm – o – rama
All IC – SSH x 15, Imperial Walkers x 15, Abe V x 10, mountain climbers x 15, merkins x 10. The pax were all warm and ready to go so we moseyed to the rock pile with instructions to select a medium sized rock. Splash looked at me and asked “medium?” with a slight wink. He went smaller than the original selection and I think he did not regret this.
Carry your rock to the field where a start line and a 50 yard line were marked off with cones (yes they are actually orange cups).
The Century
There is a list of 8 exercises. Perform 60 reps of the first exercise, carry your rock 50 yards, perform 40 additional reps of the first exercise, then carry your rock back to the starting line. Move on to exercise 2. Repeato till all 8 are complete. = 100 reps and 100 yard rock carry for each exercise.
Exercises – merkins, goblet squats, curl press, right leg lunge, bent over row, left leg lunge, low flutter with rock over head, ski abs on rock.
When the clock hit 745 time was called and we returned our rocks. Circle up at the rock pile for markin circle – hold plank while everyone rotates doing 5 merkins (this is a long plank with 23 people). To rest the shoulders, SSH x 15 IC. Now on to ski ab circle (to help demonstrate what these were to a few pax that were confused on form……..Zima).
Mosey back to start for Mary – Freddy merk, penguin crunch, heels to heaven, Cumberland county viaducts.

YHC took us out thanking HIM for these pax and what they mean to me and each other. Thanking HIM for the ability to get up and push our bodies. YHC asked for HIM to be with everyone; not just this country but the world. Push the hate away. Embraced each other. Help us be better people, husbands, fathers, leaders.

BAM, Cobra, and Spam had a lot to talk about……but I couldn’t hear it so I will assume that they were just happy and pleased with the workout
When I set the cones out, the entire field was in the shade. By the time we got to the field, the portion I had selected was in the sun. Several pax were displeased with this. YHC explained that it was in the shade and that Cobra must have moved them. Several pax tried to explain some irrational theory that the world was round and that was we turned the shade would move. I believe the cobra moving is more logical.
Greenacres wore a tank top. That HIM is ripped. I wish I could wear a tank top.
Lace worked overnight and made it for the last half of the workout – what a machine. I would have elected the bed instead.
Bulldog hates SSH – that’s why is shows up 3 mins late to every workout.
All of the rest of the chatter I believe was positive towards me…..let me know if that is not correct.
Offsides, I left the keys in the shade on the field.

Sucky workout. Numbers just high enough to be stupid but achievable. Resting by walking with rocks. Strong BB, too.
