PAX: High Cotton, Spamalot, Huckleberry, Flyby, Burlap, Plunger, Bevo, Drama Queen, Posthole, Hooker, Splash, Total Recall

Summer humidity has recently been more consistent than JJ Reddick free throws.  More of the same awaited 12 HIMs as they gathered together at Mayhem for promised partner work.

Warmarama:

Consisted of Leg Stretches, Whirlys, SSHs, Arm Destroyers.

Beatdown:

Pax were instructed to partner up and stay with their partner throughout.  Mosey to former launch point of Mayhem.  Pax found four cones and cardboard waiting at the four corners of the parking lot.  Each cardboard contained:

x5:  Mike Tysons, Dan Taylors, V-Ups (P90X version), Jumpshots

x10:  Dive Bombers, Russian Deadlifts (DC), Low Dolly + Gas Pump combo, Bear Crawls (DC)

x15:  Burpees, Bonnie Blairs (DC), Midwife Crunch, Crawl Bears (DC)

x20:  Merkins, Monkey Humpers, Alabama Prom Dates, Mountain Climbers (DC)

Move between the four corners working down the rounds of exercises, i.e. complete all four corners of x5 exercises, then move on to four corners of x10 exercises, etc.  Each time a pair of pax passes the playset, each pax performs 5 pullups.  Continue until time expires.

Announcements:

  • Spamalot has Q at WIB tomorrow; location is Mayhem launch point at Jameson Park.
  • The Shmed: 24-hour CSAUP event August 28-29.  We need people to register!
  • New site-Q needed for Parliament as Gucci is moving to South Carolina.

CoT:

  • Total Recall’s 90-year old grandfather is getting married this weekend. Pray for TR’s mother for clarity of mind and acceptance for her.
  • Plunger’s youngest daughter is moving back to college this weekend. Prayers for all those going back to school.
  • 60 Minutes’ sister, Sarah, in Texas has some medical issues and is meeting with a surgeon today.

YHC took us out by reading Psalm 126 and reemphasizing that two is better than one.  We are pushed harder and farther when another man is beside us.

Moleskin:

  • Welcome back to Plunger, who has been cleaning septic tanks in South Carolina for the last 6 months, Total Recall, and FlyBy!
  • Pax were instructed to partner up with someone they didn’t know very well and/or didn’t post with very often. The goal was for a random distribution of pax to facilitate 2nd F in the midst of the 1st  Further, some instructions were left somewhat ambiguous to generate problem solving among the partners.  See below.
  • Pax were also instructed to find their own way around the four stations, but to always take the long route, i.e. don’t opt for the short-side of the quadrilateral. I know, directions are hard.  YHC thinks most pax were on the round of 15 reps with a couple of groups on the round of 20.
  • There was much confusion about why each of the four pieces of cardboard had the exact same exercises with the exact same number of reps. F3 guys generally look for the deeper meaning of things, so the confusion was not unexpected.  On top of that, the execution of Cherry Pie’s Low Dolly+Gas Pump combo was bewildering, although it is exactly what was written on the cardboard.
  • Much MC ensued when we started warmarama on our backs stretching out our legs. It grew to a cacophony as pax were instructed to cross their legs criss-cross apple sauce-style and press down on their knees.
  • Apparently, Huck and Bevo partnered together for the past two days. YHC had to break up the dream today and got pulled along by Bevo.
  • Post Hole is on the same schedule as YHC as we both arrived unnecessarily early.
  • Splash noted that the grass on Root Canal’s hill has not grown since Dr. Toot took his fall. Very astute and eerie.
  • Spam essentially offered to let YHC put his (Spam’s) foot in his (Spam’s again) mouth during warmarama leg stretches. Spam also noted that the plan for this morning would make an excellent WIB.  Noted and retained.
  • Excellent to see 60 Minutes for 45 minutes. He didn’t make the bus trip up to Virginia with the rest of WeFoCo.  Glad he made it out of the sack.
  • Good to see Hooker, Burlap, Drama Queen, and High Cotton out, although our paths cross infrequently at the stations.
  • It was an honor to lead and fellowship with you men today. Blessings to you all.  May you feel challenged and invigorated for the rest of your days.

 

Turnover, I carried the keys over to the Speakeasy.  I suspect you will be picking up the shattered pieces of your body from there later today so figured you could knock out 2 birds with one stone.
