Finding Our Redline at… RedLine
QIC: Zuckerberg
Date: 09/08/2020
PAX: H.O.G. (WB), Greenspan, Manscape (WD), Resistor, Winklevoss, Burlap, Plunger, BALCO, Valdez, Suede, Zuckerberg (QIC)
11 pax descended upon Hanes Park for a @Zuckerberg-led #Redline. YHC ordered up some 61-degree weather and low humidity, and the pax were thankful. Aye – it was the least I could do.
Not many frills went into this week’s #Redline, and there were some ups… and some downs… but it got the job done.
It went like this…
THAT THANG…
- 1 mile warmup around HP
- Warm-o-rama (stretch, high knees, butt-kickers, Apollo Creeds, skips, etc.)
- 2oom on track (mosey to #Intimidator)
- Run up to Glade intersection (and back down – to track)
- 400m on track (mosey to #Intimidator)
- Run up to Jersey (and back down – to track)
- 800m on track (mosey to #Intimidator)
- Run up to Carolina (and back down – to track)
- 400m on track (mosey to #Intimidator)
- Run up to Jersey (and back down)
- Wait @ base of #Intimidator for all pax
- Backpedal up #Intimidator (#quadraphilia) to Carolina
- Mosey down and to parking lot
- (YHC totalled 4.25 miles)
NMM
- Not much mumblechatter – as expected at running workouts
- YHC does not like hills. Not sure why I added hills to workout.
- The pax were getting after it today – making the #Intimidator look easy.
- Great to see @Suede coming out consistently! But where was @Velvet?!
- @Plunger and @ BALCO continuing their regular Tuesday RIRO – impressive.
- @Greenspan and @HOG looked like they may have already put in work, then crushed this workout too.
- @Manscape is amazing.
- @Resistor can’t get enough and runs more after every workout. Guess it’s too easy for him.
- @Valdez just bounces up the #Intimidator – makes it look easy. New ‘adventure’ going well!
- @Wink was often leading the pax. #Flying
- @Burlap was there too! And suggested that, per our soreness from @Zima’s previous #Redline, we probably needed more short sprints. Others kinda, sorta (mumblingly) agreed, but not sure if they were convinced or just being nice and agreeable. We really probably do need it, but man it sucks, and man it hurts afterwards, and man I get injured every time.
- Always an honor to lead such amazing men.
BOM/COT
- Prayers for peace and understanding and healing (and more).
ANNOUNCEMENTS
- None made/given

Resistor
A Zuckerberg Qed redline is always a treat. Loved the hills and the weather !
I know this may cause some controversy and mayhem but Burlap does not speak for us ! We are fine never, ever sprinting 50s or 100s to “improve” our recoveries. Some of us think that running the intimidator backwards is creative enough! But Burlap is welcome to volunteer to Q red line anytime 🙂
Burlap
Burlap only speaks for Burlap (when his M allows him to), but having said that, Burlap is right about periodically including sprints in running workouts. Burlap may decide to Q Redline again some day (1) to help out his friend, the site Q, (2) to slow down some of the fastholes (which is about everyone at Redline, compared to Burlap), and (3) to tick off all of you by incorporating sprints. In other news, Jimmy likes Elaine.
Resistor
We welcome Burlap’s creative Qs and his incorporations of sprints into our workouts. We encourage a warm up period to allow sprints to take place without sacrificing hamstrings, and any other leg muscles associated with running or sitting on the toilet.
