Inspired by another twitter correspondence with Sourmash, I had set out a plan to do no burpees contingent upon everyone having already voted.  The beatdown had a potential of being entirely burpee free as YHC did his civic duty on Saturday.  The future, unknowingly to the Pax, rested upon their shoulders.  The rule, we all do ten burpees for each Pax that has yet to vote.  (of course this was not mentioned until after YHC surveyed which Pax indeed had already cast their ballot)  As it turned out, we, oh fortunate to the burpee gods, had 5 uncasted Pax!  Here’s how things went down:

Warm-o-rama:

  • SSH x 50 ic
  • Some cripplingly complicated, contorting, and compromising Broga

The Thang:

  • Pax all grab a cinder block from pile and assumed starting positions at first parking space.
  • Right off the gate we took care of the voting contingency by pushing the block from a bear crawl 5 parking spaces at which point we were to do 10 burpees.  This continued until all Pax had completed all 50 to satisfy contingency.
  • Those Pax that finished early (YHC included) picked up the six with bonus burpees until all completed their 50.
  • After burpees were completed, all Pax pushed their block back to the starting line while doing a bear crawl.
  • From here we proceeded across the entire parking lot until we reached the wall.  Method of travel was lung walk while doing simultaneous block curls.
  • At the wall we did people’s chair until 6 arrived.
  • Next on the menu, Balls to the Wall while pushing the block underneath from one end to the other.
  • YHC announced to end Pax to now send it back the same way.  This was misinterpreted by Harden who volunteered to carry it back instead.  Pax seemed to rejoice in his misunderstanding.
  • Returned to people’s chair to do 10 slow wonder bras in cadence.
  • Next Pax returned the blocks to their pile, mode of travel was skull crusher walk.

  • Prayers for YHC’s family grieving the sudden death of our beloved dog of 8 years.
