Do you hear what I hear???
QIC: Bevo
Date: 12/11/2020
PAX: Cheesesteak, Root Canal, Post Hole, Drip, Razzie, Lamb Chop
We met at the fountain where hard work is put in. Today was no different! The Q was 30 seconds late due to some crazy downtown street lights (never taking that route again) but the Pax picked up the slack and started SSH. The Q jumped in like a sweet set of double dutch and we didn’t skip a beat. Although it was pretty damn hard to hear any beat seeing that there was a trash truck trainee trying to back up his truck and it beeped for a solid minute.
After a solid 10 minute warmup, we moseyed to the front of the medical school. Where it was a little less noisy. This was necessary since the Q, as usual, had music that the workouts revolves around. The Thang follows:
First song was Thunderstruck, BUT not with Burpees. Every time “thunder” was said, you had to do a jump squat. The worst part was you must hold an Al Gore the ENTIRE song. So you jumped from your Al Gore position. (This one will be used again for sure)
Second song was Green Sally Up…but not with Squats…but with Heels to Heaven!! When the song said “up”, well that should be obvious, but when it said “down” you had to lower your legs and hold at 6” from the ground. Heels were not to touch the ground the entire song!
Third song was Lovely Day…merkin every time “love” or a variation of it was said. (75+ in 4 minutes)
Fourth song was the Jackson 5 version of Santa Clause is Coming to Town. Every time “Santa” was said you did a BURPEE! (27 total)
Then it was time for a bonus 5th song, so I allowed Poat Hole to pick between Lovely Day or Green Sally up…he chose the latter and we did DIPS for the “Up” and “Down” parts of the song. No one was able to do it unbroken. Horrible idea.
After we moseyed back to the start where we did 2 EMOM Mary.
Great work for these men. We also got the UA calendar a little more full.
look forward to coming back Cheesesteak!
