Run N Gun Happened Again
QIC: JuiceBox
Date: 12/7/2020
PAX: Balco, Winklevoss, Plunger, Interference, Burlap, Cheerio, Glazer, Mutton, Closer, Palin
The Thang:
The PAX ran exactly 3.43 miles
Leaving Speas on Polo
Right on Reynolda (for a blissful half mile downhill that will make your forget you still have to get back up to Polo)
L Wake Forest Drive (you forgot how much of the climb back to Polo happens here…)
L Allen Easley
R Carroll Weathers
L Wingate
L Polo
Back home
Three groups of runners formed, Mutton/Cheerio/Burlap, YHC/Closer/Glazer, and the rest known to me as “I have a good reason for being slower then they are except Plunger, darn Plunger. I noted that this route used to be 3.1 miles until fencing was added at Polo. Closer told a related story about cutting through and a name they have for the terrace. We had to ask a few questions to get the meaning out of him, turns out he was concerned he may have told the story already. Not to worry I noted, my memory is not that good. As demonstrated by the fact that I can’t remember any of the details now… Pappy’s Terrace? Something like that!
All returned safely home, some had to endure the slings and arrows of free music app and Tabata apps with slow speaker paring and some words from our sponsors, but this allowed the full PAX to start nearly together. Lesson learned, in the COVID era the brick wall at the flag pole does not support correct distancing. Thankfully the PAX made appropriate adjustments.
Something like this happened:
Squats,
Dips,
Merkins,
Freddy Mercs,
Box jumps,
Mutton crunches.

Prayer Requests:
Thanks and continued prayer for healing for YHC’s daughter
Plunger requested prayer for business partner father WG, dementia and had a recent fall, and other business partner’s daughter Grace in a car accident. OK but shaken up.
For Footlong, ongoing issues, scan this week.
YHC took us out with prayer.

Thanks for Qing! Good route and good company.
Tubby’s Terrace was a name for the cut through used by my M. Tubby was her grandfather who lived on campus off of Alan Easley. And her Grandmother still lives there.
