7-7-7 Jackpot – Super MAX Preview

Today was just a special meeting time due to the 7 year anniversary. Regularly scheduled workouts at 0600 AND 0700 will begin on 01/30. The Super MAX format is designed to be <4 exercises for maximum reps or  distance. It could be a Murph, a plain 5 mile run, a WIB like beatdown, today’s madness, 45 minutesof Mary, etc.

This was actually derived from a rejected portion of the 7-year anniversary beatdown. Thank Spam, Lambchop and Greenspan (to a lesser extent) that we did this for 45 minutes instead of 20!

  • 7 Jackees (burpee with SSH instead of Jump), 
  • 7 Plank Jack Burpees (Plank Jack at after merkin), 
  • 7 Jackass Burpees (Donkey Kick instead of a merkin)
  • Run 70 feet, 21 WWIIs
  • Repeato
• If PAX absolutely can’t take anymore, modify to 7 SSH, 7 plank Jacks, and 7 donkey kicks.

• Originally designed to have more running, the icy parking lot proved too treacherous to run at 0600, so a short mosey and WWIIs were added. 
• Zima was disappointed we didn’t get a tour of the AO, but understood given the treacherous conditions.
• The PAX mouths dropped open a bit upon hearing the planned beatdown… 
• Fender showed up a few minutes late and proceeded to smile with great enjoyment at the wienke!
• Singing Cowboy has never said a mean thing in his life at a beatdown I’ve attended, but can’t close today, saying he was glad to have made it with a thick tone of sarcasm!
• Zima did say the term “talking Smack” which Singing Cowboy was not entirely familiar with. Zima openly admitted to thinking it meant “Trash Talk” but YHC informed them it’s a more serious form intending to fight. 
• Bevo said he drank a 10.5% beer last night after a heavy weight workout, and was feeling it. He knew full well he’d be doubling down today. His M questioned his decision making!
• Not to be outdone, Zima said he had a 14% Goose Island Bourbon County last night, which is one of YHCs favorites! They still have some at Stella Brew evidently and now YHC might have to go buy some more…
• Road Apple earned Kotters this morning, it was great to see him! He then proceeded to go on an hourlong run afterward! 
• Schneider maintained a solid level of MC the entire time, mostly talking trash about   YHC and catching up with RA. He mentioned a commenter was “talking Smack” about the Rickhouse Ramblings barrel selection of Ragged Branch (which is AMAZING) last night. But it was noticed the guy filled his glass half with water and an ice cube before trying… so he was promptly left alone. TClaps for talking the high ground!
• This was my third time seeing RB this week! Happy to say the Cyborg is back and his hair is better than ever!
