A PAX of 27 took advantage of ideal running weather to post at this morning’s OG’s/Tractors. Despite running OG routes for six years, YHC realized there were many roads in Buena Vista (just a stone’s throw from Hanes Park) that I’d never or seldom run before. Turns out there’s no straightforward way to include Sussex, Wiley, Carolina Circle, and Meadowbrook on a coherent route, so the front end of our run involved a lot of turns. Plenty of wrong turns were taken, but everybody ended up back in the lot for CoT. Weather was perfect – dry and 48 degrees.
The Thang:
NMM:
- Plunger (a guy that used to do F3Winston-Salem a long time ago) is still EH’ing all the way from South Carolina. PJ Bruno’s sister-in-law works with Plunger and PJ just moved down from Long Island. Which, of course, is the birthplace of Mongoose’s favorite adult beverage, the Long Island Iced Tea. So, we were going to call the FNG Iced Tea (or was it Ice-T?), but then decided to make it Sweet Tea since he’d moved South. Sweet Tea is already gathering info on where to post tomorrow.
- Webelos and Woodpecker made their first trip out to OG’s after joining F3WS within the last week or two.
- Zuck started after everybody else and finished before everybody else. #fast or #antisocial, or both.
- Beverly and The Vig were headed back out to run another OG loop. Best of luck navigating that complicated route in reverse.
