Zima’s Payback @ Mayhem 2.3.2021
QIC: Burns
Date: 2.3.2021
PAX: Splash, Zima, Turnover, Crash Test Dummy, Root Canal (WD), High Cotton, Burns (QIC/WB)
After Zima brought the pain to the pax yesterday, it was only fitting that I formulate an entire plan around how best to pay him back, collateral damage to others be damned.
We warmed up with 30 SSH IC and then moseyed to the bus lot for some dynamics to get the blood flowing – high knees, butt kickers, and power skips to the far end. Then we moseyed back to the start of the bus lot, stopping at each bus to do a burpee (13). We lunge walked back across the bus lot, stopping at each bus to do 5 squats (65). Then we moseyed back across and did a burpee at each bus again (13).
I declared the warmarama over at this point, and we moseyed up to the upper playground. The plan had been to do inverted rows here, but I had to call an audible due to the lack of places in the playground to actually do inverted rows. Partner up – Partner A does 25 irkins, partner B does burpees until partner A is done. Flapjack & repeato until both partners have done 100 irkins.
A quick look at the watch told me we were WAY ahead of schedule, so I pulled out a trusty time-waster. Fast feet x20, irkins x10, fast feet x20, left-arm-up merkins x10, fast feet x2o, right-arm-up merkins x10, fast feet x20, derkins x10.
We were then set to mosey down to the shelter back at Jamison park, but the route took us right by the bus lot again so we stopped to crabwalk all the way down, stopping at each bus to do 5 WWIIs (65). Then we moseyed back, stopping one last time at each bus for a burpee (13).
We completed the mosey to the shelter and repeated the same format from the playground except with 25 squats & WWIIs, flapjacking and repeating until each pax had 100 squats.
There were about 4 minutes left for mary, during which we did Muttons L & R, American Hammers, and Heels to Heaven all x15IC, then held an elbow plank until time was called (less than 30s).

Splash showed up talking about how he was still sore from my Q on Saturday at Purgatory, so I hope this beatdown helped buddy.
Turnover expressed FOMO from Zima’s Q yesterday, but quickly realized it had to have been terrible for this to be the payback
CTD had been battling some illness the past week or so, I believe, but was back out today and proclaimed before warmorama that he would be “taking it slow” and proceeded to do no such thing – crushed it from start to finish.
Root Canal regaled the pax with the story of his injury at this very AO, which was incredible for two reasons – first being his full recovery and second being his ability to talk while the rest of us were sucking wind.
Zima’s new knee looks like it’s treating him well. He’s proved that even at 70-80% he is capable of both delivering and powering through difficult workouts.
High Cotton was SBD – silent but deadly. No MC, nary a word. Simple dominance.
All told this crew was willing and able to push themselves through a tough payback Q – grateful for the hard work and the push from these HIMs.

YHC took us out.
Thanks for the keys, Turnover, I think they’re under one of the busses.
