PAX: Root Canal (WD) , Drip , Huckleberry , Fender, Zima , Turnover (Q, WB)

This was YHC’s first Q in over 2 months, so I had very low expectations for myself. However, I knew the assembled HIM’s would be expecting a solid beatdown, so the rust needed to get knocked off in a hurry. Running a few minutes behind, I pulled into the parking lot a few minutes before launch to find a small but elite group of regulars that would not be easily tired. Challenge Accepted.

The THANG

Since the Super Max by-laws only allow for 4 called exercises, those were the parameters we were going to stay within.

4 exercises, 8 reps each, on repeat. When you’re the next man up, put your block down and run around the parking lot, back to the circle.

The preblast indicated that 0 burpees would be called, and technically, there were no burpees called, but that fact has been a point of contention. You be the judge.

The exercises

  1. In plank position (w cinder block) jump feet to hands x8
  2. Merkin (w cinder block)
  3. Squat (or goblet squat)
  4. OH Press w Block

As mentioned, we all performed these exercises in perpetuity while taking turns running around the parking lot. This format led to some decent MC and allowed us to enjoy YHC’s excellent playlist.

At 0640, we returned our blocks and got back to launch in time for 3ish WW2s.

Prayers for Fender’s M’s grandfather (recently passed) and grandmother (not doing well)

Prayers for Huck’s M’s friend who was recently diagnosed with ALS.

YHC took us out.

@Drip and @Dr Toot had to bolt quickly to make it to #IS and @Fender, allegedly, had to give some dogs insulin. I hope they were his dogs.

We learned a lot from @Zima about how The Bear went this year.

We also learned a lot ABOUT @Zima. We learned that he takes grudges very seriously, and we learned about a reason (1 of many) why some people may not like him. Sensing a correlation between these 2 things.

Shoutout to my bluetooth speaker for only crapping out twice. It made it much further than I thought it would. Let the record show that @Zima loved the music.

This beatdown was pretty tough, but these all-star PAX beasted through it with no problem at all.
