Blocks & hills on a chilly morning
QIC: Sea-Man
Date: 11/23/2021
PAX: Adobe, Offsides, Huckleberry, Sea-Man, Workbench, Schneider, Starfish, Zima, Subfloor
9 Pax embraced the cold for Parliament this morning. YHC was coming in from EC run and noticed Zima’s truck but no Zima so assumed that maybe workbench had driven Zima’s truck as he was there with no vehicle. Turns out Huckleberry dropped Workbench and returned to get Offsides and Zima strolled in from an EC run moments later as the remaining owner of the truck. Minutes later Schneider also returned from an EC run.
Once we worked through all of these logistics we added Starfish, Adobe, and Subfloor for a quorum of 9 to begin warmups right at 0530:
SSH x 30
Hillbillies x 15
Abe Vigodas x 5
Arm Swirlies (F/R) x 15
OH Claps x 15
Burpees x 10
The Thang:
Apollo creed to wall, 30 count fast feet, wall sits for approximately 1 minute, karaoke to block storage area. All pax grab a block and hold over head for trek down to basketball court. Once at the basketball court:
AMRAP 1 minute each:
Blockees (2 rounds)
Curls (2 rounds)
OH Press (2 rounds)
Bent over rows (2 rounds)
Wide Merkins (1 round)
Diamond Merkins (1 round)
Incline merkins (1 round)
Decline merkins (1 round)
Dora where partner walks up hill with block.
100 burpees
200 LBCs
300 Squats (finished a bit before 300 for time)
Walk with blocks overhead up to storage area, drop blocks and back to gathering area at parking lot for Mary:
Low flutters x 15
American Hammers x 15
Box Cutter x 15
Huckleberry was the block carrying leader and demonstrated how to carry a block without bending elbows all the way back to storage area. It was great to see Offsides out (allbeit he was almost left in his neighborhood when his ride drove by), Zima complains every workout but is the first to complete exercises and never takes a break, great to see Subfloor & Adobe working hard, Schneider almost caused an evacuation of the workout zone down at the basketball court with some insane wind but trudged right through and killed the workout, Starfish & Workbench showed up to work and hustled. Great work by all!
Always an honor,
Sea-Man
