We don’t need no stinkin’ sleeves! 😄. Amazingly warm Jan 1st brought out a good crowd of 16 pax for NYDay 730a convergence. Five for 7a 2.5 mile mosey (3+ miles for Lace 🏃🏻) planned in case any pax showed up at usual time. Thanks to Burlap and his 2-way wrist radio and time telling machine, we started promptly at 730a with MS and CP, then warmarama: 22 of most things IC – SSH, ImpW, Y-flies, AV, Whirlies, and Cherry Pies forward and backward.
Then toy soldier walk to top of hill leading to Rec Center for Dora. Partners did 50 burpee’s, 100 WWII’s, 200 merkins, and 300 squats with running guys going forward downhill and backwards uphill. Crowdpleaser. Huffing and puffing YHC received sweet encouragement from Zima as he growled: “get going Green Acres! You called this 💩!”
Then to the Lido Deck for dips, RL step-ups, erkins, LL step-ups, LBC’s, Howling Monkeys with ea pax doing 6 humpers while maintaining significant eye contact with next guy (thanks for making it weird, Splash! 🤣), and derkins. Eleven! step-ups and Eleven! derkins IC, other things 22 IC, which Lambchop commented was “more than sufficient” warming the Q’s heart. (The date lent itself to lots of 11’s and 22’s making Toot a happy guy too 👍🏻). A repeat was suggested by Q but Pax preference was for Rocks, so off we went. Rocks were gathered (Lace and Zima selected boulders 💪) and Pax did curls, skull crushers, BO rows, and overhead presses, 22 IC ea thanks to encouraging words from Lace to YHC as we nearly had Q fail on 18th OP. 🥴😥. Back to start for 5 min of Mary: penguin crunch, LBC’s, low flutter, Mutton crunch all x 22 IC, then 3 Huckleberry merkins and hold plank 30 more seconds…DONE right on time thanks again to Burlap. 😅. Happy sweaty Pax, all glad they came.
Cotters to Nitro. Tried to deliver a thorough beatdown but Zima and Lace breezed through it. El Heffe is incredibly fast at running, forward AND backwards. He was his 1.0 Giles’ biggest cheerleader/critic as partner (that’s ALL you did?!! 🤷♂️🤣). The Pony Express is also very fast at backwards running.
Announcements: blood drive Feb 19. Crash has Q at TIT Monday.
Sargent Schultz took us out.
thanks for the keys Lemming. Left them under the NC rock as usual.

Green Acres
Forgot to mention the other Pax that did the EC run at 7a: Wobegon, Dr Toot, and Crash. Strong work! And that Zima and Lace are tireless beasts. 💪. It was a pleasure to lead this strong group of HIM’s. ❤️
