BAM gets a little #Respect at WIB

YHC turns 50 on May 19th, so as a way to celebrate 50 trips around the sun, we’ll do 50 reps at multiple stations as we run around the sun, I mean silo, at the famed Reynolda Village!  This isn’t a new or particularly creative beatdown, but neither is YHC, as you all know.  But it will be sufficient, even if Cherry Pie and Zima get into “race mode.”

A fine group of pax descended upon the hallowed grounds of RJ and Katherine Reynolds estate.  Even one gentleman who was looking for a workout group while wearing a shmedium F3 shirt he picked up at Goodwill.

We did some warmorama to allow Starfish to pull in on #spicolitime.  He doesn’t like SSH’s anyway.  Pax got in 4 laps – 2.2 miles and had some fun!

• So as not to bury the lead, on about lap 3, station 2, Palin decided it would be “funny” to poke the bear/Cobra about his effort, but using the inside joke of “he’s just checking the box.”  Well, because Cobra does other things than read stuff on Slack while he’s using the facility, like Palin, he was not in the the joke and thought Palin was REALLY trying to ruin his day!  YHC overheard Cobra talking under breath, aka how to avoid killing someone, and realized the error.  Thankfully Cobra was amenable to the de-escalation technique and Palin admitted, like Peter Quill in Guardians of the Galaxy, he’s an a-hole, but he’s not 100% a dick.
• Since Cherry Pie did not follow through on his HC, Burns was left to run by himself in the lead
• As the 12th truck/car rolled past us either to go to Purre Barre or construction, Starfish commented that may have been why they killed #TheEstate (no pax were injured)
• Palin was impressed that the Q printed out the station instruction rather the sharpie/cardboard combo
• Mutton eventually did his own exercises, at his age, that’s allowed
• The Q might have broke wind directly in Palin’s direction, #blametheheelstoheaven
• That prompted a discussion about plumbers ability to handle foul smells
• It was a pax that really were the “jolliest bunch of a-holes this side of the nuthouse!” (Clark Griswold said it better)
