Toes to Bars and Cup Check
Date: 6/9/22
PAX: Workbench, Cruzer, Van Gogh, Offsides, Huckleberry, Bevo, Greenspan
Heavy publicity did not deter 7 pax from this morning; neither did the humidity. WIB was held at River Oaks Community Church at 1855 Lewisville-Clemmons Road.
All pax parked at the north end of the facility as requested.
Here was the workout:
X marked the spot. The leader(s) on each lap was to stop at the X and perform Merkins x 30; everyone else x 10.
Finished.
Announcements:
- SuperMax and Alcatraz meet at the ROCC on Saturdays. Mutton has Alcatraz Q on Saturday.
- Palin has Urban Assault tomorrow; Bailey Park at 0530.
Prayer Requests:
- Offsides’s daughter graduates this weekend.
- Parents struggling with kids being home for the summer.
YHC took us out, asking the LORD to help us see clearly and remember that the days are long but the years are short.
NMM:
- First time for YHC to meet Cruzer. Mug dominated the workout.
- 2.4 miles covered, which seems about right.
- Huck, Offsides, and Workbench came in riding in Offsides’ clowncar. Great to see Offsides for the first time in a while. He felt that he got good value for his money.
- Huck and Workbench were quiet for the most part and got after it.
- Bevo demonstrated the perfect kip and managed not to throw out his back.
- Today was YHC’s first opportunity to utilize the pullup bars at ROCC. They are beautiful, sturdy with flex, and well constructed. Wish they were mobile.
- VG was out front all morning followed closely by Cruzer. The two of them had started their fifth circuit when time was called. VG (and others) embraced the kick in the pants each time around.
- VG suggested that the pax struggled this morning due to our failure to regularly attend the Saturday workouts at the ROCC. He was met with consternation and mockery.
The pleasure was all mine, fellas. Thanks for coming out. Toot, the keys are hanging on Zima’s (low) bar in the back.
