Pinochle Q

YHC arrived to a very foggy AO. It really made see you in the gloom, gloomy. Luckily PAX started to arrive. The 5 of us (I think it was that many, hard to see in the fog), started on time.
The Thang:
Originally YHC planned this workout for the next week of Feb 7, which is Chris Rock’s birthday. So it was going to be a celebration of The Slap Heard Round the World. However Madoff asked to switch since he was on DL from being slapped around at all the AO’s last week. So with slight modifications and with inspiration from others Q’s, the below is what we did.
6 different exercises, using a Pinochle deck to randomly pick (which contains 48 cards, 8 of each 9-A), enjoy the fun.
- A – LBCs x25
- 10 – Squat Thrusters x20
- K – Merkins x15
- Q – Curls x10
- J – Skip to wall, 8 Bobby Hurley, 8 Dwight Howard, 5 Hip Slapper (all slap exercises totaling 21; get it Black Jack, Slap Jack)
- 9 – Block Swings x5 (was going to do Burpees but decided against it after last week’s Alcatraz)
Per DQ request, we did modified the travel to Carioca, Lunges some of the times. DQ also knew what card was going to be drawn and started that exercise; e.g. was doing Merkins while the rest of the PAX was doing LBCs. He also commented on how YHC had to go deep into the catalog to pick the tunes. It was especially fragrant workout with the diesel from buses hanging in the air. We probably made it through 60 percent of the cards before we had to put blocks away and do Mary.
