When YHC landed in GSO last night after a worktrip to Chicago, his phone was inundated with jubilant texts about the ongoing hoops game between his beloved Deacons and the school just west of Raleigh. Knowing that Wake does better when YHC doesn’t pay attention, YHC still decided to turn on the radio for the last five minutes of the game on the way home from the airport. And Wake Forest proceeded to try to wakeforest the game by nearly blowing a 26 point 2nd half lead. But they hung on for victory.
YHC pulled into the parking lot at Conspiracy at about 0525 this morning and was the only one there. But slowly but surely the pax started to roll in and YHC was somewhat surprised to see that 50% of the pax were Tarheels. So we tried to give them some support this morning in the form of an old fashioned, old school, F3 bootcamp beatdown.

Run up the hill.
5 alternating side lunges (each side).

The Thang, Part Three: Three Man Grinder
Tarheels in one group (@Spicoli, @Burlap, @Palin). Deacons and Dookie in the other group (@YHC, @Frostbite, @Mutton).
Player one stays and does called exercise. Players two and three run until YHC drops the deuce where player two stays and does a separate called exercise. Player three returns to player one and relieves him and starts doing called exercise. So forth and so on. Exercise pairings were as follows:
- Round One: Merkins and Sumo Squats
- Round Two: Carolina Dry Docks and Alternating Lunges
- Round Three: Makhtar N’Diayes and Monkey Humpers
- Round Four: LBCs and Low Dolly

Strong and solid group this morning even as half of them were working through their grief and sadness over Carolina basketball’s confounding season of ineptitude. Also glad that United Airlines performed its job last night so that YHC could be with you guys this morning.
We did not go anywhere near the Intimidator today.
The Burpee Mile was a big hit.
Palin ran his mouth.
Spicoli was almost on time.
Burlap did some math.
Frostbite was ultimately in charge.
Mutton no longer roots for Dook as he was decked out in Clempson orange regalia.
As Spicoli mentioned during COT, I am grateful to you guys for the push and pull and friendship. Thanks for being there for me.
