QIC: Frostbite

With the recent movement to bring #TheEstate back into the AO fold, I decided to take #DashWIB to a beautiful AO that has plenty of mileage and opportunities to get work in.

I sent out the preblast and when YHC went to bed there were 3 HCs from @BooBoo, @Burns, @Cherry Pie.  @Mutton also gave an HC yesterday at #Conspiracy.  I tried to convince @Burlap and @Lamb Chop to join but to no avail. So, I figured we’d atleast have 5-6 guys (maybe the Site Q @Dr. Toot would also join in on the fun).

I figured the 1st F Q would love to pour some gasoline on the AO and support other Qs.  Isn’t that his job? And quite literally, the 1st f is Fitness (yeah, I am a #redwood).  So, when I saw the HC come through, I was excited to play host… Except, he has had a recent history of HCing and not showing up (his kids are sick a lot?).  It is almost like he thinks HCing may get him out of bed when he knows full well that he is going to hit snooze.  It is no longer freezing cold, so that is not an excuse…surely its not due to tiredness from all the #Pax showing up at #TheLaunchpad (is anyone else going to bring up this topic?)   Come to think of it, I haven’t even seen @Burnsy at a workout in quite some time!

Supposedly, he decommitted in the middle of the night due to “allergies.”  I think an HC (at any point) is an HC (at any point) and the penalty should be paid! I vote @Cobra to be the judge.

Anywho, I arrive shortly after 5:25am and @CP was already in the parking lot! (I think we both were surprised at this feat).  @Schlitz followed shortly after and we began! @Mutton would show up as the 6th Core Principle began.

Warmarama

  • SSH (IC x25) — had to let @Mutton get some in.
  • Imperial Walkers (IC x 12)
  • Copperhead Squats (IC x 10)
  • Abe Vigoda (IX x 6)
  • 10 Merkins on your own!

The Thang

Since this is a workout in a box or bag (I would ask the 1st F Q what the proper acronym is, but…), I kept it relatively simple.

The loop would consist of 4 stations. Mosey to each.

Station 1: By the fountain

  • Squatty Potty’s/Dips

Station 2: Parking lot next to the field

  • Hand Release Merkins/Snookis (Glute/hamstring bridge and move arm to opposite side

Station 3: The Bridge leading to WF

  • Irkins/Lunges

Station 4: Hill by Pure Barre

  • Bear Crawl up hill/Burpees

Repeato.

We started at 5 reps for each exercise (both legs when applicable) and went up to 20 (except for Burpees, we kept that at 5 each round)

3 MOM:

  • Low Flutter (IC x 10)
  • Low Dolly (IC x 10)
  • 20 WWII’s (OYO)

NMM

  • @CP came dressed as if it was January.  Quickly shed all layers after being out front all morning
  • @Schlitz doesn’t like wet buttholes (ask him about it). He also has the Q tomorrow at #UrbanAssault
  • I don’t think @Mutton said one word but was on @CP’s heels all morning
  • @BooBoo did not show up.  Haven’t heard why not.

 

In all seriousness, missed seeing the HCs out there and hope all is okay.  It was a pleasure to lead this morning!

    If some one HCs and didn’t post, then they need to pay the Burpee Penalty as assigned (randomly) by Slackbot!!! (Assuming Zima hasn’t hacked it.)
