Freestylin at the Village

It was a BEAUTIFUL morning in the Village!
Full disclosure, I wasn’t feeling it ( Monday’s ), but I couldn’t let Cruiser down.
When I pulled into the parking lot I was secretly hoping the threat of rain was going to deter most of the guys. Again, Monday’s! Really gotta work on that.
When I pulled back to the usual launch point, I did see two vehicles there…but they were Van Gogh and Greenspans who had both launched earlier for a little 8 mile jaunt. So I pulled in, and the wait began.
Hoping to go grab a breakfast sandy and some coffee, I kept waiting…and waiting… Until finally, there’s another car. It was Schneider. “Okay cool, I can maybe talk him into some grub “, I thought. Then poof, another car. It was Madoff.
Okay, enough of that breakfast crap, let’s dance.
WARM-O-RAMA:
Usual suspects.
The THANG:
I had mentioned this was going to be a freestyle, and that’s exactly what it was. The only thing I had planned was the playlist. ( Ted Lasso Locker Room Hits – Apple Music. ) It was great.
We started by running a lap, but first….5 Pull Ups at the start of the track. Check.
Ran half way around the track, ” Oh Look. Another set of Pull Up bars”…5 more. Finish the lap.
Up to the picnic tables.
20 Dips, 20 Squats, 20 Irkins, 20 Lunges.
Back for another lap….and pull ups.
We did this, or some variation of that for the picnic sessions 3 times.
Rushed up to the parking lot for a little Mary.
MARY:
Again, usual cool down material. Time!
COT:
Runners rushed up ( a little more moist then they were when they left. )
And YHC took us out.
