Holiday Idiocy In The Village

The Q pulled in as the runners ditched their vests and lights, and others parked and jumped out. Lots of talk about weather forecast descripency. Cool, but whatever. Let’s get started.

Mosey to big lot over by the shelter (we’ll get there, pax already advocating for dry pavement…acknowledge and agreed). Fire up the playlists, some YCH’s favorite less-then-traditional arrangments of holiday classics. Voodoo Glow Skulls really know how to add the Latin-tinged ska-punk vibe to Feliz Navidad. Saw them open for NOFX in the 90s. But anyway.
Line up about halfway down.
Q will call three exercised IC. After the third one, sprint to end and back, do ten merkins. 5 rounds of this routine.
Called exercises were always Alternating Lunges and Squats with one wildcard…. I admit some freestyle, but I think it was Peter Parkers, Mountain Climbers, Dry Docks, Shoulder Taps, and Seal Claps.
Mosey to the shelter.
Benchwork OYO:
- 5 dips
- 5 Irkins
- 5 step-ups, both legs
Repeat o-o 10, then 15. Lap around the track.
Back to it, 10, then 5. One more lap.
Circle up for Rings of Fire. One pax does exercise, rest hold, pass it around.

…and on to Mary to wrap up the last 5 minutes, last one-two was holding various planks.

Good turnout. I know a few guys got an EC run in. Nice to meet Draftee. I love that he just heard Starfish at Hanes Park on Saturday and jumped right in. Remember–someone is always watching.
Enjoyed the time in the Village today. Cruiser, the keys are under the wobbly picnic bench.
