YHC answered the call from Van Gogh to Q the truck loading Alcatraz for Samaritan’s purse. The preblast went out asking PAX to post and support and, modifying as necessary fill the truck then get to the rest of the workout. These boxes were bulky and I’m told mostly between 30-40 lb, so with hundreds of them and working quickly it was actually a great workout.
Recited the mission, and after for probably the first time miffing the 5 core principles and needing a little help, and taking some flack from huckleberry about wearing “my wife’s” purple shorts (yhc got them for Eliza’s run in 2022), we did the warmup, did arm swirly things as cherry pie rolled up, did 5 burpees for him, and then went to the back of the church for truck loading.
I’m told we loaded the truck in about 23 min with various pax and a few of the church volunteers assisting. Many hands made light work. Pax were stacking and rolling boxes, handing them to the back of the truck and about 5 pax in the back stacking boxes 5 high and 5 wide, 25 per layer. 20-25 layers? ~300-400 boxes? Wait. a post on slack bb says it was definitely 20-25 rows or about 500, about 8000 shoe boxes for operation christmas child.
When this was done we took some photos and headed to the front of the parking lot for the rest of the workout: turn over a block with the first letter of the pax F3 name and do the excercise, 10 or 20, sometimes 20 then 10, or 10 then 5 on the second lap. Ladder style, 1, then 1,2, then 1,2,3… and so on.
Letters were s,c,h,u,d,j,z,v,r,b the first 6 of which correspond to slurpee (burpee with 2 hr merkins), bear crawl, h2h, freddie mercs, hr merkins, inchworm. We got only as far as inch worms as yhc recalls. And about 1.5 miles. Some pax probably got more.
We did 1 or 2 mary exercises and ended with ring of fire.
Overall a great time for a great cause.

Prayers for bullwinkle, swifty, lace, doing the spartan beast which has by now happened. Prayers for thanksgiving which by now has happened, hope it went well for everyone, and for Van gogh’s M hip surgery which has also happened and for speedy recovery.
