The Estate – Virgin Q for the Duck

It was a cold and wet morning at the Estate at Reynolda Village. YHC was out late for me (7:15-7:30) with Zima for a belated birthday celebration. Waking up early and a little groggy from the night’s festivities I got to the Estate early to see what I could come up with.
There was the trail with the light poles that runs to campus.
Field with a very tempting pond to run and jump in.
There was the running trail that runs to Reynolda House
There was a parking lot with all the store fronts.
I chose option 1. Being that we are in the middle of the Merkin Challenge of 2024 I opted to run down and back for all 14 power poles. Doing (2) Burpees at the start and (25) Merkins at each pole. YHC did not account for how much running this was and I was burping up IPA residue the entire time. We ended up getting 10 of the 14 poles before we ran out of time. I suggested we make a brief sprint through the pond below the bridge but was threatened with a Mutiny so I relented. All in all we did 2.5 miles, with 225 Merkins to add to the sheet for the challenge.
