Fortunately, Giles read his email and sent out an alert that the 4th graders had a field trip and would be leaving at 6:15 from Speas, so it was decided to park at the tennis courts instead.

Unfortunately, YHC did not set clear directions and myself, Frostbite, and Ziggy were wondering where everyone else was when we realized they parked at the tennis courts but still started at the bus lot. #Qfail and it’s not even 5:30! By the time we got there, D-Day was thankfully leading everyone in SSH and welcoming FNG Ponzi (also sharing how the 4th core principle of “no training or certification necessary” definitely applied to me).

WoR: D-Day-led SSH (thanks!), attempted Abe Vigoda (but I completely screwed that one up and immediately affirmed D-Day’s earlier point re: 4th core principle), Michael Phelps (did that one right!)

Mosey to the rock pile, doing called exercises along the way.

The Thang:

Get a rock, perform 21 reps of each exercise OYO. Finish a set, then take a lap around the circle. 3 sets then move to the next set of 4 exercises.

SET 1: Curls, Freddy Mercury, Chest press, & squat

SET 2: Skull crusher, Alabama prom dates, bent-over row, & lunges

SET 3: Merkins, low flutter, kettlebell swing, squat jumps

Time was called and we put our rocks up. Came back to the circle for Mary. According to the F3 Exicon, Bruce Lee had a core workout, which we started but did not finish: American Hammer (had to quickly stop to avoid an activity bus!), LBC, out of time

Prayers/announcements:

-Happy Hour (and a half) at Mossy’s in Clemmons, tonight, 5:30 to 7

-D-Day’s 2.0, Petra, has a track meet tonight at that high school in Pfafftown with the ugly teal colors. Go Spartans!

• Closer rode by on his bike but chose wisely to exercise this morning elsewhere.
• GA got to explain to Ponzi how he is perpetually the ‘War Daddy’ at each and every F3 posting (even the 80+ man convergence). I got to explain how GA is perpetually the strongest at each and every F3 posting (even the 80+ man convergence).
• Frostbite brought out his friend Ponzi for the first time. Frostbite asked him on Sunday and Ponzi was out on Thursday. I don’t know what kind of persuasive powers you have, Frostbite, but I need some tips! I’ve been trying to get some guys out for years! (including one this morning who no-showed).
• Ponzi is from Winston but moved away and is now back working in the financial sector (hence Ponzi). I later found out, when entering the backblast in Slack, that we already have a Ponzi! Other great suggestions: Houdini or Let Me Out (his parents own the escape room in town), or (Gordon) Gekko. Jury’s out on what your official F3 name is but post again and we’ll figure it out!
• D-Day made for an excellent substi-Q in getting things started before I got there.
• Ziggy saw me carrying the cardboard before the beatdown and almost left. I did not inspire further confidence when I messed up the starting location AND the warmorama.
• Singing Cowboy led the way this morning around the circle, even chasing down D-Day once or twice to do so.
• I found out Giles has kids at Speas (as do I). Hoping to see you at some Speas events in the future!
• I also found out that Wobegon is going to the Modest Mouse concert this summer, as am I. He shared (and I was none too surprised) that he’s seen Modest Mouse and Pixes before during some epic early 90s concerts.
